Really? I mean I guess it was somewhat obvious that the appeal of the Cup isn't what it used to be when at least a quarter of our season ticket holders didn't turn up in the last round despite the game being free, but for fuck's sake, that's truly pathetic. I did think that given the Worcester attendance and given the Oldham fans that I was travelling over with telling me they'd not sold too many that it would be poor, but less than seven thousand? It's not like the club have priced it stupidly or anything, and it's not like casual fans are going to prioritise Cov next week (standard league prices, Sunday noon kick off, on TV) over this game. I think I heard the Kop once in the game outside of the goal, three times if I listened very carefully and picked up the GCB. Fantastic support? Bollocks.

I'd estimated the attendance as less than the official figure to be honest jt64. Guess it was payback time from supporters for the recent performances.

I guess many couldn't think of a single reason to be there. Thats the great thing about choice.

I'm a season ticket holder and I've missed both the Worcester and Oldham guess, but I suppose I'm pathetic because I have had to take my work commitments seriously.

I bought a ticket and was going to go, but went on the lash Friday so couldn't be arsed to go.

I really couldn't care less about the cup, we ain't going to win it and have already seen United play at the big grounds so won't be excited if we get Man U away or something.

Bullshit, I bet you went to the darts or something getting pissed, no need to lie to us mate :D

It was so low the little lambs were not so intimidated and they managed to hold out for a win despite being down to 10 men for the last half an hour.

And we kept a clean sheet :o

It could be argued that these players can grind a result out in front of a 6k crowd but it's too much for them in front of 20k.

One more thing. If Higdon had been available to play - would we have lost?

The match was shore, as expected. The pussys was wonderful, as expected.

:)

Sorry LS26BLADE, not meant for you, i misread your post, I'm as shit at this posting malarkey as to what some of our 1st team are to playing football!

hardly a surprise last years second round crowd was 7000 v Plymouth
December xmas shopping takes preference over extra outlay

Millwall got 3900
all cup gates drop more every season

Still a higher attendance than most other league one clubs get every other week...o_O

If it is alright with you, I have decided after watching this seasons shambles I will prioritise work over going to having to book holidays for matches when I should be working. I have already wasted at least 8 days of holidays going to matches home and away, and yes, I do mean wasted.

I still doubt there attendance was correct because there was around 600 oldham I guessed. & I thought it looked like 8000/9000

But anyway yes we got under 7000 bit in comparison thats Still the 2nd highest fa cup attendance of the weekend & majority of league 1 would be delighted

I bought my ticket but didn't go as I spent 6hrs at the LGI on Friday due to problems with my right foot.

They told me to take it easy so that, coupled with the fact that most of my mates were swerving the game, made my decision easy.

Note I said MOST BornOnShoreham ;)

Aren't ST holders automatically counted in the attendance figures anyway. regardless if they turn up or not?

You know if the players showed a little bit of dedication to being better footballers rather than their main interest of going out on the piss every weekend then one or two fans might show a little bit more inclination to spend hard earned money to watch them, just a thought like ;)
I think some of our fans would prefer to be a part of such low crowds on a regular basis just so they can say I was there and what a big blade I am, me I think a few more crowds like this are just what is needed to wake up the boardroom to the fact that many are sick of the joke this club has become.

Don't worry, it'll be a full house in round 3 when we get drawn at home against a PL team.
