Could this work out for the better for us?

Both clubs have lost/are losing their manager. Both Dean Smith and Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink have done fantastic jobs at their respective clubs and have built them up to what they are today. Losing them will be a big thing for both clubs i'm sure.

It depends on who comes in and what they try to do. Take Brentford for example. Mark Warburton did for Brentford similar to what these two guys have done at their clubs. They then end up getting shut of him and end up with their 3rd manager in 6 months.

If the new guys come in and carry on what DS & JFH have started then they could carry on with their great form and start to the season. If they come in and try changing things straight away, this could have an adverse effect on them... Look at David Weir

It could have an adverse effect but maybe the people running these clubs are smart enough to employ a manager who "fits" with the squad already assembled and the club's carry on with the strategies in place?.

It is depressing that we are now 14 POINTS BEHIND BURTON!!!.

Theres nearly half the division between us and Walsall/Burton.

Be interesting to see how this will affect Walsall and Burton in their next few fixtures.

Yep we just need all the other teams above us to let their managers go and we should be sorted. We need to be looking no further than our own problems and then once they are sorted we should start climbing the table.

Interesting OP but i think it's fair to say that we as a club desperately need to concentrate on our own issues rather than other clubs, discuss by all means but i personally think this is out of our hands.

Helps if we start getting some more points on the board.

A number of clubs above us will fall away much like Tranmere a few years a go.

They both won last night though, didn't they?

Burton got a 2-1 win over Millwall - something we failed to do at home
Walsall had a 3-1 victory away at those shining stars of Shrewsbury.

Shrews fans bemoaning the situation where they want to play us every week :(

strange we got draws away at both

Nah, I can't see either of them finishing below us in the relegation fight.

We are actually hoping that the owner/boards of Burton and Walsall have same track record as ours in appointing under performing managers, clutching at straws or what. You would imagine they would appoint a manager to continue their winning formula rather than one that would want to change it.

If QPR appoint. JFH then Warnock would be a free agent again.... I wonder if ... ;)

There are rumours that Warnock will be quitting the game for good - summat to do with family reasons but I am not party to any detail

Dislike Warnock but ... should we sack Adkins and replace him with old big nose, I wouldn't be too disappointed. I still blame him for us not now being an established Premier division team, similar to what Stoke have done. While he was way out of his depth in the Premier he'd be in his element in the third tier. I'd like to say he'd be like a 'pig in shite' but obviously that kind of term should be reserved for them tossers in S6. He'd at least get the defence and spine of the team sorted and if we got him this side of Christmas we'd still have half a chance of getting the play-offs.

When he first took over in '99 he complained about having to clear dog shit off the training ground at Warminster Road, he could start a second term clearing the dog shit out of the first team up at Shirecliffe.

It is a fucking travesty that we are in this division.

It is a fuckinh bigger travesty that we are below cunts like these .

Sadly until someone grasps the nettle we are stuck

Clough to go back to Burton, beat us in the play offs. It's written in the stars, can just see this happening

Walsall nor Burton will have any effect on our promotion chances. Unless we find a decent manager we are going nowhere.
