After a full 6 minutes of action last week, was Wallace left out of the squad yesterday for squad rotation or is he missing the physio?
 



Makes you wonder. Adkins said he didn't train Thursday but was expected to on Friday.

Did he break down again on Friday ? Did he decide Walsall away wasn't the game to throw him back in.

I will be concerned (again) if he isn't in the 18 for Tuesday.

You just feel it'll continue to be one thing after another. He's the sort of player we could do with at the moment.

I wouldn't play another game with him in contention no matter his state of fitness, unless there's an injury crisis. It's impossible to build anything with players like this. There's definitely a case for paying this one up.

I know what you mean but we are so short of energy and ability to put your foot in around central midfield, I'd be tempted to give it one last go.

However, I totted up the minutes he's done since he arrived and it adds up to about 9 full games and he's only completed 90 minutes twice. So you have a strong case.
 
If he is injured again then it's time to move him on. Although he could just be featuring every other match at the moment.
 
Yes Adkins said he would train Friday, but it looks as though they werent even going to risk a place on the bench. Might as well give him to the summer before making a final decision on the lad.

No point in rushing him back. We could do with him but he's only had a few minutes game time and I guess we wanted to be sure there was no reaction. I don't think he should be near the first team until he's capable of 90 minutes at u21s level.
 
I'd like to know what's actually up with him. Hasn't trained all week for an entire career?

It's beyond being injury prone, it's more like he has a chronic condition. And if he has a chronic condition, what on earth were we doing giving him a multi-year contract?

Either way it's a tragedy because in that short glimpse of a fit player we had last season, he looked our best footballer. His head must be as messed-up as his body by now.

Why? He's not going to take any less than 100% of his outstanding contract so it's not going to save us any money. We may as well try to get him fit and if we get 10 good games out of him it's a bonus. If we don't, we haven't lost anything.

I'm not sure. We lose the continuity that his presence breaks every time he makes an appearance. There is no way he's going to get a run of games in, so I think his inclusion is detrimental.

It's such a shame, because I really rated him and it seems we're thus stuck with Hammond and Coutts.

True but if we could get him fit, at least we've got someone on the bench who could do a good job if Hammond or Coutts gets injured or suspended.

Then it becomes another wall in front of the decision to go out and buy the midfielders that we need, none of which are at the club right now.

We might as well keep him but we should not allow his presence to stop us signing other midfielders.

When he signed it should have been in addition to Coady, not to replace him.

A bit of the hostility towards him is very unfair btw. He's not a lazy player with a bad attitude who'll happily sit around doing nothing and collecting money. He'll be absolutely gutted. If you're going to be angry with anyone over him it should be Clough.

Damn good player, just wish we could take the opposition on at Subbuteo to get a full 90 minutes out of him.
