We were doing a lot better with those two playing up front. Adkins needs to revisit it again if he's determined to persist with 4-4-2.

Totally agree we did look menacing at least.
I for one want to see Sammon starting and not as a winger!

We were doing better, not 'a lot better'. Those early results that have put us in the top half of the table were papering over the cracks. I cannot think of one good performance this season.

Major surgery necessary not a bit of first aid. The surgery needs to start with addressing the attitudes of every single person at the club. At the moment they are all taking the piss.

Not sure if Adkins has the necessary equipment between his legs to be the one to do this.

They were our partnership for the four game blip though. Despite not exactly being the best in the air Sammon does at least offer some height up front which we're sorely missing.

I'd rather see us start Sammon and ditch 4-4-2 at the same time

Sammon and JCR together (jcr on wing of course) s the key. When we play just one of them they aren't effective as JCR has midgets to cross to and without JCR no one is floating the balls in that Sammon can get on the end of.

Peterborough was the good performance with Sammon-Sharp.

Peterborough away?

It was a good performance, but I remember from roys pre match view, p'boro fans specifically said their midfield was atrocious and had lost every game because of it.

We have been done in midfield for various reasons like out run, out played, out muscled, out footballed.

Opposition managers/coaches/scouts have had us sussed for a few years now - put us under any sort of pressure and we are a soft touch.

Clough didn't solve it and Adkins is trying to find a solution but running into the same problems - Hammond has just added to the continuing problem is doesn't appear to be any different to what we already have - ineffective players.

If Sammon had been brought on 15-20 mins earlier yesterday, we might have got a draw or even snatched an undeserved win.

I reckon we were OK at Swindon but that's about it. Haven't managed an away game since then thankfully.

I wasn't too impressed with our midfield that game, until the eternally injured Wallace came on..but Sammon-Sharp played well together that night...

Sammon is an absolute liability.

Big mistake of a purchase, along with Woolford, Edgar, and Hammond.

Not sure about absolute liability.

But he has lost his place and will have to earn it back, something I am not sure he has in him.

Bench player for me.

Woodford has only one season so he can go with the rest of the piss heads, as for Sammon n sharp, in the 442 at the start of the season we had all the same issues in defence and midfield, but looked a threat, 442, please and if they can't fit into that then fuck em off, time for Adkins to watch out for himself, these knobheads will get him fired

He's slowly getting himself fired by the looks of it.

Sammon has had his best games when he has started. Doesn't look like the sort of player who does it coming off the bench.

I'd say the same back but I don't particularly care enough about you or your posts to even bother.

Thanks for caring about my posts though.
:D

Thank you. can I also point out while we at it that you are by some distance the worst poster on this forum, a sort of pound land version of Lenners with nothing constructive to say on anything and a repetitive droning on and on and on prediction of Adkins impending dismisal.

I value your opinions lots.

I will be hard of sleeping tonight thanks to that post.

How can he be the 'worst' poster he's posted loads of posts - it's like saying Harold Shipman is Britains worst serial killer but with more confirmed kills to his name than any other UK-based
murderer, surely Dr. Shipman is 'Britain's best serial killer'. So barny is one of our best posters?

If Harris is back in the side isn't Sammon the ideal person to get on the end of those hanging balls into the box? Or, at least, as ideal as we've got.
