We have been beaten the most times by the same Club who has beaten a truly MASSIVE Club !!

This really puts us in the big boys league doesn't it ?

I think we must have beaten Wednesday almost as many times as we've beaten Notts County, so they must be pretty high on the list as well!

However it's all a bit meaningless. The teams that we've beaten the most (and lost to the most) tend to be the teams we've played the most.

I notice that Everton are the team that Aston Villa have beaten the most times, but they are also the team that Aston Villa have lost to the most times. In fact, Everton appear as the most beaten team for half a dozen clubs.

As the article mentions, Everton v Villa is the most played fixture in the football league. Everton and Arsenal are the teams with the most consecutive seasons in the top flight until now so again their lead fact for the article is not that surprising.
