No - It's you spouting garbage - whilst Higdon may be not an Alan Shearer he will certainly get goals at this level !
He's scored 2 in 2 at L1 level not bottom end L2 level
Wait until his loan spell ends and then make a valid comment - rather than talking out of your arse !
Alternatively I could express my opinion as it stands, which is based on the time I have seen him playing in a Sheffield United shirt, not sure why I have to wait for his spell at Oldham to end in order for my comments to meet your "valid/invalid" benchmarks.
Let me just run you through how "my arse" came to form this invalid and garbage opinion. From my perspective he rarely effects games positively, his movement is non-existent, he doesn't worry defenders, always playing in front of them with his back to goal, he can't jump because he is overweight and thus loses his aerial battles, he often looks lazy and unfit and I've been surprised by his general lack of strength and inability to use his weight effectively (a la Shipperley). Also, I might be mistaken but I think I've seen him get red carded at least once for something stupid.
People say he is a good finisher, admittedly his YouTube clips from Scotland/Holland prior to his arrival support this, but his stats since joining Sheffield United as per Oldham's official site - 24(10) - Goals 5. Appeared in 34 games, scored 5 goals. So his record lies somewhere in between 1 in 5 and 1 in 7. This isn't a prolific, good return and certainly not what I would consider a "certain" guaranteed source of goals "at this level."
Don't assume that because my opinion doesn't align with yours that I'm "talking out of my arse" and haven't thought through what I'm saying. For the record, I hope that Higdon has a good spell and can add something to our promotion push post-Xmas. But reading between the lines, I think Adkins' has seen enough to decide he isn't good enough.
