How many defeats do promotion teams get again?

Time to forget about automatic promotion. Already.

Best we can hope for with this shower is scraping the play-offs. Even that's looking a bit less than 50-50 right now.
 
We've got to win the 6 pointer vs Rochdale now to keep in with the play-off race.

Promotion is a distant dream now. People will say its early but we simply won't go up with this team and even if the board decide to help in January it will be too late by then anyway. This is just a wasted season now. Won't go up, won't go down.
 
Fucking hell, planning for the playoffs in October :mad:
 
Still feel we can get a couple of players in and storm the rest of the season.......

We're 1 point more from relegation than automatic. Truly shocking.
 
Automatic promotion can still happen but it needs the Board and Adkins to get players in now. We're in danger of throwing any chance away before January comes round.
 
Feel sorry for you poor feckers that's got to go to work on Monday and face the grunters
 
Our dismal transfer window activities in January have really come back to bite us on the arse this last few weeks.

Exactly. Mighty Burton are 8 points clear of us (after just 11 games).

One big city club in the division*, & that big city club contrives to be as average as they possibly can be & leave it to the other smaller clubs to contest for automatic promotion.

A fucking embarrassment.



(* if you discount Bradford, who are the epitome of averageness)
 
We needed everyone in over the summer that's how you win promotion.

It's hard to see how we will get automatic or even play offs right now.

This year's excuse is to blame clough for the oversized squad/max wage bill.

Let's waste the rest of this season thinking of next year's excuse.

surely the point is to improve our form

we are still on less losses after 12 than southampton and bournemouth had in their promotion seasons
but its obvious we need to get much better

And that's the kind of thing that keeps useless managers in a job. When people talk about 'wage thieves' they usually mean the players. What about the so-called 'managers'? I've just heard Edwards on RS saying 'Nigel Adkins will have learnt from this.' WTF? Will he have learnt that teams like Port Vale can be beaten at home???

Once again, we were lead to believe that the corner has been turned. Sorry, but Adkins is Nigel Pt. 2.

Never mind. A huge pay-off beckons and we can be left to bicker amongst ourselves.
