What did Che do?

He did put something on Twitter afterwards could have been that but its more likely over indulgence on Saturday night I would have thought. Lets hope he doesnt do it again
Hes been dropped and probably had a heavy fine as well

Which would be more beneficial, him learning from his mistake but performances suffering from a plumet of confidence, or him also learning from his mistake through other means of punishment, and any fines would obviously have to be scaled up so that he feels the effect just as any normal person would. All that, whilst the confidence remains high on the field. It's a no brainer for me. But again I stress that I'm not aware of what he's done, it might be that bad Adkins had no choice, in which case my point loses validity, but frankly I can't see that being the case.
Or it could go the complete opposite way and motivate him to better himself and prove to NA and the fans what he's all about, I guess that depends on his character and NA knows him better than what we do.

Both players turned up late for training still steaming from saturday night. Mcgahey had to get his hand stitched so didn't train NA went ballastic.

Sounds like a very minor issues going on what Adkins said in his interview and like James Shield tweeted it is not going to keep him out of future matches.

He has made a mistake and Adkins seems very confident that Che will learn from it. Interesting no one asked in the interview where Baxter and McGahey were.

Look, for once I'm i.t.k. on this one, I work for the firm that develops the CCTV footage for United.

Given what happened, I can't blame Adkins for punishing Adams but , truth be told, I can understand Ché's frustration with the outdated on-line ticketing system at the Lane;

Not really got a clue why he was wearing a panda suit though.

To be fair that's a good point. But I personally think a negative impact is more likely, especially with him being as young and inexperienced as he is. We'll have to trust NA's call on this one to go through the media but it definitely didn't work for the previous manager.

So Magahey got a busted arm and Che's got 2 black eyes ,were they out with MacFadzean ?

Went into detail on Baxter's groin strain - not 100% but chance of playing Saturday. No mention of McGahey.

might have got in a fight like McNnulty did and another player reported it i assume Adkins will have a mole in the dressing room

Is this the mole?

No idea what has happened here, but some footballers are fick as shit.
Harrison could be working in Asda next year if he doesn't sort himself out. I'm sure Che will get more chances because of his ability but if you get dropped when we play the top of the league purely because he's a twat in his spare time-then patience will become thin with him too.

It maybe controversial but I don't think its the correct form of punishment. Make the lad play and make sure you get a performance. All Adkins has done has weakened the team or at least the bench

I know this story remains unconfirmed but it's really annoyed me, I don't want to support a bunch of jumped up little arseholes.

I suspect you need to be following a different sport.

I just reconcile the fact they spent all their youth learning how to play football and didn't have time for the learning to be decent human beings bit most people have to go through. My involvement with them spans from 3 til 5 on a Saturday (or a couple of hours mid-week), other than that, fuck 'em all.

I think it this instance Nigel has got it right, but maybe Nigel ought to have a couple of Kop tickets kept spare.

Then future offenders could be sat in these seats at the next home game, where paying customers might have a comment or two

Should be a bigger deterent than fines or suspension ............................

There's a difference between leaving someone out of the squad for a game due to poor discipline and banishing players from the club for good because they gave the manager a slightly funny look...

Oh ok because thats all factual ;)

Being serious on this, McNulty had his public discipline issues and was dealt with...

What fucks me off is that we have been fated with injuries to key players etc, then a man acknowledged as one of brightest future players lets the side down and possibly cost us all 3 points. The positivity of Dones return negated by Che's actions. You owe us one now Che.

I used to manage people, high performers who could get another job with a competitor, so in some ways a bit like footballers, but I've never managed a football team.

So whilst I could speculate on the best way to deal with players, it's purely theoretical.

The flipside is that Adams thinks no matter what he does he'll be above reproach. There's a line of reasoning that might suggest that Adkins is damned if he does act, damned if he doesn't act. I agree that it weakened the team, but at what point does a manager decide that he needs to show who's in control?

From day one, and always.

The point is making Che realise that his actions have weakened the team.

If he's not towing the line (and fair enough, he's young and now a bit successful, understandable), he needs telling AND showing I think. Adkins has made a short term point with hopefully long term benefits. Che needs to know he's part of a team and that means not being a nob and finding yourself out of it.

I'm sure Adkins knows that for all the bollockings he can give, it will be nothing compared to what the players give him/expect from him.
