Decent Point That

No Baxter, no creativity.

The lack of pace/trickery in wide areas matched with the lack of creative spark in the middle (without Baxter) will cost us. This has to be changed for me. yes, they're top, but it's Burton. Come on, let's be fair... We really should put these teams rot the sword.

Obviously better than a defeat, but uninspiring.

They were there for the taking. It's an ok point, not worth complaining about but doesn't mean I can't be honest. After turning around a piss poor run of performances on Saturday I was expecting a little more from us tonight. We are talking about Burton Albion at the end of the day, top of the league or not.

I really don't understand the negativity.

We got tonked at home by Bury, we got beat at home by Colchester who are perennially shite. We capitulated two goals at Bradford who have been garbage at times this season.

And now suddenly it's a bad result to draw away to the top team in the league in a game which we edged?

Given the reality of our current situation, this a very good point we earned tonight.

Good point, but we do lack the creative quality, Baxter is no world beater but you see the difference when he is missing.

If we could just get in three quality players we could still get auto quite comfortably and I mean top end championship players which means shelling out the dosh.

On Burton's league position you rightly point out that it is a good point but listening to the game on the radio you can't help but feel that we should have been more clinical and walked away from that with 3 points because the opposition weren't that good all things said and done.

Went downhill when Woolford and Scoogs came on by the sound of the commentary. Hardly heard Basham mentioned but sounded like Collins was sweeping everything up.

Be interesting to hear of commentary matched what actually happened

OK that's easily done, how about four : Brayford, Done, Harris, Kennedy.

With Done, Baxter and Che to come back into the team there is a lot of creativity and attacking threat to look forward to.

Burton seem to be lying in wait for overconfident opponents. Sounded like we held them at bay and created opportunities without overcommiting. Could've won, not in much danger of losing.

The last three games has been acceptable form, two draws away and a home win. It's just that we're playing catch up a bit. I don't think the teams above will sustain their form throughout the season so we just need to carry on like we are now, slowly improving and cutting out stupid mistakes.

bury whos not lost away in 16 and colchester who have won 4 on the trot shit you mean

perhaps if you took your head out of that bucket of shit you spout
youd see things in reality

I'm already counting them I mean as well.. None of them is the creative midfielder and consistent winger we require

In that case you are a tad ambitious.

Keep in touch with the top 2 and get all the above 4 bedded back into the team and look at the starting eleven and the bench when that happens. I'll keep my fingers crossed for no more serious injuries as my priority.

BTW Adams, Baxter, Alcock and Ryce to add to tonight's team as well, so that's a total of 8 capable first teamers out injured, maybe 4 of whom would be first choice, plus J.Wallace of course.

Did they win 4 on the trot prior to beating us?

Thought not...

Put that shandy down, dickhead.

Were they all playing the top of the League as well :)

Nah, but it's Burton we're talking about here, not Wolves or Bristol City.

Gillingham came back from a goal down to win 5-1; Bury came back from a goal behind to win at in-form Peterboro; Walsall ground out an away win; Rochdale scored 3 & won. All very decent, positive results.

We've steadied the ship (after a horrendous little wobble) recently, but that's all. We're steady eddies. I'm just hoping for a lot more from us, if I'm honest.

But, on to Saturday. Hopefully Jose & Che will be back, & Matty Done will be fit enough to play a part.
