I was pleased with our resilience. I bet you were, & rightly so. The young lad at centre-back for them had a stormer.

The game turned on Pope’s introduction. I thought so too. So much for these little clubs fearing Bramall Lane - their manager switches from one up front to 442 & suddenly they're threatening. No shutting up shop for the point.

P.S. Congrats Roy for your appearance in the programme today. A well-deserved praise of your sterling work.

About half way through the second half I borrowed my nephews programe to check if their manager was N. Warnock... They certainly professionaled us out of it they got their away tactics spot on. Had clearly scouted us and ruthlessly exposed where we were weak.

They also got the rub of the green with us missing our chances and a poor ref who looked out of his depth....

Can't complain about the way they went about things as we did it for years under the aforementioned Mr. Warnock.

Very True.. Doesn't make it less annoying though.

I didn't even realise I'd been in today's programme! Ive been on holiday and only got back before kick off so didn't get to today's game. I'll have to pick one up from somewhere

There was only one set of players rolling around and disrupting the game from what I saw. Not blaming them though ,its down to the referee to take charge ,he was a complete incompetent wanker. They are right saying Atkins substitutions slowed us down and disrupted us though. Really poor management on his behalf today.

"Bury manager David Flitcroft felt the referee cost his side two points as they drew 1-1 at home to League Two leaders Wycombe.
Danny Mayor bundled in a 30th-minute opener in a match both bosses felt should not have gone ahead with snow and rain having made the pitch boggy.
Fred Onyedinma then claimed a deserved equaliser for Wanderers in the 68th minute but Flitcroft felt referee David Webb missed a foul just before Onyedinma fired past goalkeeper Nick Pope.
"The ball wasn't rolling properly, which probably suited them more than us," said Flitcroft.
"But my team showed character to stand firm. Wycombe throw everything at you, whether it's a good pitch or a bad pitch. Everything's aerial, it's coming at you from all angles, and we withstood that.
"For 32 minutes, until Ryan Lowe went off, we totally dominated. It was never in doubt that we'd get a result.
"Then if the officials do their job they give a foul on Adam El-Abd for a push and it was handball. He'd been giving fouls for challenges like that all through the second half.
"In the same incident he got two decisions wrong - that can't be right.
"It was a 1-0 all day long but solely from a referee's decision we've not got the three points."

That was the same referee from a game in February.

fair points.. they did a total job on us.. i'd love their two CM players.
game turned when Pope came on and JCR went off..
Fleetwood? now i'm worried :)

After 90 years waiting they are entitled to their celebrations. 2nd goal was fantastic, I applauded it. We didn't seem at the races today, or maybe we were and should have been at the lane. No complaints about result. I thought for a moment Nigel 1 was back in charge.

The only thing I disagreed with is their criticisms towards Adkins? He always seems respectful towards our opponents, but he rightly focusses on our performance, and what we need to improve on. What did they want, for him to come out and start gushing about how amazing they were? Not exactly the way to appease his own upset fans, is it?

Their third was a fabulously arrogant finish too.

They looked better than Walsall but not a patch on Fleetwood.”

Could this be a prediction for our finishing place this season? Above Walsall, but below Fleetwood. That would require a reversal of both their current fortunes.....but almost certainly another year in League1 for us.

Hello ... Bury fan here. Don't get too downhearted as we've not lost away from home since January! I think Sheff Utd will still go up - Fantastic fans and a really nice club - Always had a great time at the Lane and drinking in the city ... First time I've seen us win there and I've been watching the Shakers since 1974!

Fair play, Shaker1. First win at the Lane since 1925? We're good at ending records!

I think Flitcroft has assembled a squad that's ideally suited to League One. But, and it's not sour grapes, that referee played right into your hands. It often happens at this level - put in a brutal 'tackle' early on to test the water. The ref. usually thinks it's 'too early' for a bookng but gives the offending side carte blanche to carry on.

The Bury player stood ten yards in United's half when United tried to kick off for the second half summed up the contempt Bury had for the ref. He should have been booked and at least two Bury players should have been sent off.

As for the brawl where the ref. decided to book both players - well I suppose the United player's head could have hurt Clarke's hand as he was being repeatedly punched...

Can`t fault Bury for their win on Saturday tbh. Had we gone away to a larger club say and come away 1-3 winners we`d all be chirpy & chipper. They took the points away at Walsall last week so they must be doing something right. Fair play to em I say. Lets just hope we can move on forward against Colchester on Tuesday night.

I feel worse after reading those comments than I did at 90 minutes on saturday.

Wow...none of their fans mention them laying down on the floor for 90minutes..
