you'd defend McCabe pissing in your cornflakes.
WTF! You mean Corn Flakes are not supposed to be covered in piss! My wife's for it when she gets back!

No, I just take issue with the argument that KM saved us from administration. It's one of the most naive and facile comments anyone can contribute to a KM debate. We got there after "beating about the bush" then.I thought you disagreed with more than that point though but relieved you didn't.

where we own all the site and get ground rent off the hotel and 2m in rent from the office complexBrealey quoted in 1990:
"I never sold one square inch of your Bramall Lane assets. Far from it, we even re-purchased part of Shoreham Street which had been sold many years ago, thus re-establishing the complete island site".
Contrast the position today...

so your saying he had 3 good seasons followed by a bad oneIt’s ridiculous to say that any sort of hindsight was needed to say Robson was a bad appointment and anyone who genuinely thinks that must be a similarly bad judge as McCabe.
He got Boro up spending astronomical sums for the 2nd tier standards. Then he struggled in the Prem and El Tel came in to help him out. He was woeful for Bradford. He did have a surprisingly decent run to keep West Brom up before reverting to type.
I think most blades were utterly pissed off with the appointment and just hoped the caliber of player coming in (Beattie, Sharp, Hendrie, Naysmith etc) would be enough to compensate for Robson’s ineptitude the way Emerson, Ravanelli, Juninho etc did at Boro.

I admit I wasnt overly enamored about Adkins at first , thought he was ok for a scunny size club
But his attention to detail and the way hes changed the ethos in such a short space of time is awe inspiring -
I was hoping for a bit of a reaction to the Gillingham debacle , but hes took up the rug of complacency and beat it to uber cxlean
The word motivation has never seen such a reaction as hes done since day one.
Flocks of geese will have me standing and applauding in future and if we go up theres 500 notes going to RSPB
no ones said he saved us directly from admin but if you could post a complete list of the hundreds of other directors or investors in that period waiting to chuck in tens of millions we can narrow it downNo, I just take issue with the argument that KM saved us from administration. You do appreciate that KM as the ultimate controlling party was responsible for us incurring the debts, and that the majority of debts were 'soft loans' made by KM to the club? There is the matter of ethics, pride and reputation of individuals and the club.
Those involved with clubs or any companies which go into administration do suffer by it and certainly the duty to creditors is a serious one for anybody. That bothers some people and not others.

what genius getting rent in , I remember Straafford wanting the same at S6
thats why we never get in tax difficulties good house keeping
its in the accounts2 million rent for the small office block? That is very hard to believe.

So, in simple terms, he got us in debt, most of the debt was owed to him. Had we gone into administration he would have become one of the creditors accepting pence in the pound. No-one would have lost more than KM, he would have lost the club and most of the money he put in.
was it
at the time he was well respected ex England stalwart Mr Man Utd
on paper , he had it all
unfortunately not in his head
It was crystal clear that he was fucking shite at the time.
There mere mention of his name raises my blood pressure.
UTB
just looked up the stats , the hatred for Robson is astounding when you consider he only ever lost 12 games as our manager
Weir did that in ,,,, 12 games
Bryan Robson! It was crystal clear that he was fucking shite at the time.

He broke my Dad's heart. He really loved him as a player. Said he was the best english idfielder he had seen. I remember when i was young he used to worry about who would replace him when he retired (all about england, not man u). So he was excited about him, then was a bag o'shite! It was crystal clear that he was fucking shite at the time.

That's not the point I'm making though is it.KM has lost all that money in equity as well as written-off loans. Whichever way you look at it, his family will inherit tens of millions ( I'd say over £50m) less than they would if he had not got involved with United. You and I have spent far too much of our own money following United, imagine how he and his family reflect on it all. It's all relative, of course it is, but no matter how much a Yorkshireman has, he will always look at a lost £ being a £.
He was. When fit he was the complete midfielder. He broke my Dad's heart. He really loved him as a player. Said he was the best english idfielder he had seen. Agree whole heartedly he turned out to be a prize spannerI hate the bloke because he took the biggest financial backing United have ever given a manager, blew it, then tried blaming the fans.
He might have been a great and a brave player, but as our manager he was a clueless coward. If he fucked off every day from now till Judgment Day he still wouldn't have fucked off enough for my liking.
In what way? If it's in the accounts its debt. If he'd have written it off it wouldn't be there.Disagree.

Good question. No, with whether KM writes off all debt owed as part of the investment deal. It may be that the final write off will be dependant on certain levels of investment from the prince over a period.
