Yes but thats with hindsight. Clough did not seemingly push him away due to him being shit. It seemed it was because he was so pissed off with the red card. He said after the Crewe game I think it was, that Brandy had cost us the game. I am just suggesting we dont cut our noses off to spite our faces with Baxter.

actually there was probably more in it than just the red... after all Doyle got a red card later in the year and Clough was annoyed with that... and still played him on his return to the side and given the outcome for Brandy it reinforces that there was more than just the Red Card antics at play... less "hindsight" more "foresight"

same with baxter.... he had a decent first season, but since then I could probably count the "good games" on one hand... he was lucky to be still employed following the drug charges, as that would have been enough (considering he lacklustre performaces all season) to push him out without any recourse. he has clearly not learnt from his perpertual mistakes... a daft red card in isolation is not enough to hang a man out to dry granted... but put it with everything else and he would only get back in to the side if we were desperate. he wouldnt just automaticaly swan back in (as that hardly shows a cause and effect)

Baxter was unplayable at Peterborough just 8 days ago. Now he's unplayable for 3 games :)

I wouldn't let him swan straight back in. Hopefully having to work hard to get back in will bring out his best. If he can't be bothered, then he can go for me.

Y' bunch of Baxstabbers! :D

Seriously...It was a stupid challenge,no excuse and definately a Red...I'm still a fan,but he's pissed me off after a few of us arguing his worth on here, and then he gets himself sent off...I wouldn't close the door on him,but he will have to earn his place back...if Wallace or someone else comes in and does well, then no way should he walk back into the side...On the other hand if whoever takes his place doesn't impress, then yes I would let him straight back.
