It's not a wild suggestion at all, it's a little rumour from social media. Other people enjoy these rumours whether they're bollocks or not. You might be used to people bowing to your insightful contributions on these boards but not me i'm afraid.

If you don't like what I post the doors that way.

So, two things you've confirmed,

1: That what you write may be bollocks

2: I thought the whole purpose of the forum was to offer a variety of thoughts, mostly of the truthful variety as this prevents wasting other poster's time.

Now, pointing towards a metaphorical door seems a tad ungracious, but I shall forgive that bout of unpleasantness. I look forward to further of your contributions.

Of course it may be bollocks, I thought even someone as intellectual as you seem to want to portray may have known that.

I may be throwing a nice little strop, but I can be forgiven when your at the other end of it. About that metaphorical door, have you gone through it yet?

barny, you've taken this very personally. One question though, how can anyone walk through a metaphorical door? Just asking from an intellectual perspective you understand. At least you're admitting that you may write bollocks, and that's got to be a good thing, well done you.

You're absolutely right Dec, but rumours with some kind of basis in truth, not simply the imaginings of someone twiddling their thumbs wondering what to write next? Doesn't that seem to be a fair summary of what a rumour should be based upon? Beyond that, well I suppose we could have a thread called Fertile Imaginations? At least then the reader makes an informed decision about what to expect.

It's more a collection of posts indirectly attempting to belittle other posters around you that grinds on me slightly. But you can be rest assured this hasn't been taken personally. To do that from a few posts on a forum would be a little silly of me to be honest. For your information though and in case you were wondering, I don't post rumours in this section to gain approval or 'ITK' status as it seems to be known, I purely do it because others have mentioned they enjoy reading them whether they turn out to be true or not. Hope that clears a few things up for you and will help you to consider what you write before rubbishing people's good intentions.

If it's not fact, I tend to band them all together as being improbable anyway. Unless of course it's from a really credible source, and if people only posted those ones, this section would be as dry as a bone.

Now that deserves a considered reply.

You seem to think I obsess about you. A 'series of posts belittling other posters'? Now that's broadened your point, so you think I obsess about several posters and seek to belittle them? To do that you must read my posts to form that opinion? Isn't that a bit obsessive? In this thread, from #2 onwards, there are a few posts that object to what you've said, not just myself, so why you select me as your bete noire? I know, a tad intellectual, but us intellectuals like to use language to keep it vibrant and on the real side, you know, down with the kids n' that.

In a previous post you mentioned you hadn't taken this personally, but here you are, writing to me personally, even though other posters have dissed your post. A bit at odds with your previous comment I guess, but I tell you what, let's kiss and make up, and start with a clean slate (a bit Nigel Adkins I know, but old Nigel has a point there).

But I do appreciate you also post some great threads like today's on Billy Sharp. I'll give you that - if only you could come out with more posts like that instead of focusing your intention on little rumours in the rumour section.
 
I can see this as a possibility following the Murphy deal. Maybe a loan. Wiki says left footed winger but also box to box. We will see .

See even when i'm praising one of your threads you seem to come up with things like that. If you ever wonder why someone appears not to like you, please take that as an example. To reply with that after someone praises what you have said really is quite baffling.

Agree with this 100% do we have to have someone moaning about rumours being bollocks every time?

If this board was limited to rumours from reliable sources there would be no posts! Look at the press at the moment, they claim Neymar might be going to Man U! If they can make up bollocks, why can't posters on here?
