I've got a full set from the start to around 2010 I think. I used to write for it years ago, the first thing I had published anywhere was an obituary of Gil Reece I did.

Anyone know how to get in touch with the editor?

If you've got some editions, I believe near the back there's details on how to get in touch.

I also assumed that this had ended ages ago, think I last bought one in the Fat Cat nearly a decade ago

I'm gonna purchase several in Cricks before the match on Saturday. Be good to get it circulating properly again, it was always a bloody good publication.

I used to pick mine up from Orstell's News but since that closed I haven't motivated myself to get one elsewhere. I was rather hoping they'd be available in the convenience store next door to where Orstell's was, but no joy yet.

I also had quite a few things published in there, mainly about my hitchhiking exploits, and indeed Flashing Blade enabled me to first describe myself as a 'published author', if you don't include letters to Sounds about Gong and Steve Hillage.

I was an avid reader, collector and contributor from the early days up to a few seasons ago (probably when street sales finished and Orstel News closed). Sadly the internet based message boards have sucked me in and much against my instincts, lured me away from the paper publications.
Contributors are in a minority nowadays and the funds are almost exhausted. Once that happens I think Matt will wind it up. A huge shame for what, at its height, was a 'must read' institution for Blades fans.
Time waits for no one.....

Matt says he will carry on until the money runs out (they run at a loss each year but have some money that BIFA transferred to them).

I own a complete set of them. Still read it today though haven't written recently (though Matt stole my review of his Fit and Proper book from this website and printed it without my permission. I didn't mind but it would have been nice to have been asked). I think it's still a good read for Blades fans, particularly if you like nostalgia.

He deserves praise for keeping it going so long.

I used to read one for Wimbledon FC too, called Yidaho, which was quite good.

I wonder how many are still going.

Last season I had been selling FBs in the Sheaf and Golden Lion and all being well will do again this season (probably in the new year), once I've sold all my Cup Special handbooks.

I'm sure I read in the latest edition that they're on sale somewhere else as well as the Cricks. I'll check later and post the details.

I used to love them, always bought a copy when on sale outside the ground. Don't go to the pub pre game so haven't seen one for a couple of seasons. Shame. Anyone know if I can say, pay for a year and get them emailed to me?

Same here, it was on the back of some stuff I wrote for them that I was able to blag a membership of a club for writers in Soho. I used to pick it up from Sportspages by Cambridge Circus.

You can subscribe by post which is what I do. It's a casual arrangement, I bump into Matt at away games and every five issues or so, I give him a tenner.
