Can someone tell me how much they are and I'll send Matt a cheque for the season. Can't remember how many issues a season. About 4?

Five a season, but one's just gone out, so four left. They're £1.60 inc postage and the address is as per DJ's post above.
Anyone know roughly what the costs are for running such a publication? I'd really hate to see it hit the wall.

In the last issue of each season, there's a breakdown of costs and income. I'll dig the last figures out later, but circulation is way down and costs probably aren't. Result....unhappiness.

It's struck me since the advent of the t'interweb and message boards like this, that so many people have so much to say, but FB struggles like mad for material. I'm as guilty as anybody, I used to contribute regularly and have done very little for donkeys' years.

It might help if it's more visible, particularly on matchdays. I'd happily spend an hour or two as a vendor if that's what it takes.

Cheers Trigger. I used to contribute too, under some stupid female pseudonym for some weird reason.

My favourite flashing Blade front page photo with a caption is the one of a footballer laying on the ground biting an opponent's shin and the caption was "Wally Downes back in training". He broke his ankle by Alan Harper of Wendy in a behind closed doors friendly match before the start of the 1988-89 season and he was back in training a few months later

It would be a shame if a Blades institution were to fold when a day's wages for a single player would probably keep it going for a year.

I'd chuck in if there was a fundraiser to keep it afloat. Or maybe just a subscription drive.

I used to read Falkirk unofficial fanzine, Hull hell and happiness, king of the kippax, city gent, and Grorty Dick.
Was the last one a porno?

Talk of the Town End, the fanzine of the old Enfield FC, claimed to be the first fanzine. I think it started in about 1983.
