Realistically Peterborough are nowhere as good as they were under Ferguson (their fans views suggest they would agree) and their midfield is weaker than ours (424 doesn't help that either) so that clearly helped us. I don't expect them to be anything other than mid table this season.

Pleasing to read the comments but we still need to improve the defence. We are a long way off fielding our strongest side because of injuries. There is more in the tank when these are sorted but we look thin on the ground in a few positions in the meantime - (GK,LB,CH & CM).

Barnsley fans don’t like it when Roy does his view from thread about them. They think it’s because we’re obsessed with them and the internet generally confuses the six fingered ones.

Nice to see Che set up 2 goals with intelligent lay backs inviting a strike
and even better they were taken well

If we can get another 19 - 20 set of comments like that be a very good season

its still a work in progress with Adkins , but the progress is gathering a pace,,,,, which is nice

All ball to feet when they are in the area which is what Billy, Connor and Jose all want as well. That's good to see.

“Sheffield United will take some stopping if they find a couple of defenders. Excellent going forward. Some terrific movement
Blades played tonight like they should play at League One level. The change of manager will prove decisive in my opinion”

Those comments were made by Peterborough's equivalent of James Shield, if I'm not mistaken (remember reading them on twatter last night).
Got to be good to have the opposition's press purring about you like that.

Like others have said - can't remember a more complimentary set of comments on Roy's Viewsfroms, ever.
Certs to fuck up against the crisis club on Saturday now...

Good Performance last night - the movement and passing was excellent !
However, we have to get in some Centre Backs - McEveley is a disaster waiting to happen - Collins injury may be a blessing in disguise and whilst Kieron Wallace did OK he is not the answer whilst Harris is out injured !

Whilst it is always frowned upon to say this, we are playing in League 1 and should not be over-rating the opposition. We do not need top notch defenders to play at this level. If we do not draw the opposition onto us we can play them off the park. Attack is the best form of defence.

He only set up the second. Sharp and Wallace provided the assists for the 1st and third.

Reading those comments, scrolling through Twitter today, listening to it last night, the Shoutbox on here during the game. All glowing with praise for that performance last night, fantastic to read. Is it safe to say the positive outlook we had before the Gillingham is now restored?

I think he may have set up a very good chance a few minutes earlier from an almost identical move (or was it JCR from the other side?) - I wonder if it's one of those training ground routines they mention occasionally.

As mentioned a few of our short passes in midfield were intercepted. I do wonder if that's something opposition teams have worked on. The passes would normally work bc the opposition wouldn't be in those positions, but if they are primed to anticipate then a normally safe pass can become a dangerous one.

A bit like when a striker anticipates a back pass to a keeper and picks it off.

After my goal of the season strike yesterday, @TheNigelAdkins has given me the day off to rest my foot & make sure it's ready for Saturday.

There was plenty to be optimistic about, but I would hope and expect that there is a lot more to come from them as the season goes on. At times we were really sloppy in possession and some of the passing was heart attack inducing. But the intent to go forward was so much better than last season so win or lose it will be more watchable at least.
