My dad was speaking to my mate today (lee askham of academy fame
) and apparently other day Graverson looked set to join, but it now looks very unlikely.

AGENT WARNING AS BLADES PUSH FOR GRAV DEAL
Thomas Gravesen's agent insists the Celtic midfielder must not lose out financially in any loan deal after Sheffield United confirmed they remain keen to sign the Denmark star.
Celtic manager Gordon Strachan has stated he is content for Gravesen to stay at the club, even though the 31-year-old looks set to be a fringe player in the coming season.
Considering Gravesen is in the top bracket of earners at the club, that situation is not ideal though and United boss Bryan Robson is not backing down in the bid to lure him to Bramall Lane.
According to agent John Sivebaek, himself a former Denmark and Manchester United player, Gravesen has not ruled anything out but would prefer to stay at Celtic.
Blades chairman Kevin McCabe told BBC Radio Sheffield: "We've been trying to negotiate terms with Celtic.
"He's on our list, so now it's a question of can we conclude terms and does the player want to come to us?"
Gravesen was a marquee signing when he arrived from Real Madrid last August but has not fulfilled expectations and was left out of Strachan's squad for the Tennent's Scottish Cup final.
Sivebaek told PA Sport: "The only thing we know is that there has been interest from Sheffield United, but that's really all we can say for now. It's too early to say what will happen.
"Money always does come into it and he doesn't want to lose out. But it's not only that.
"Thomas wants to stay and fight for his place at Celtic. He has two years left on his contract and he doesn't want to go somewhere on loan for one year without knowing what happens next.
"He likes the Celtic fans and loves everything about Glasgow. The only problem is he hasn't been playing often enough."
Strachan's recent remarks about Gravesen have been perceived in many quarters as criticism, and Sivebaek is paying close attention to the situation.
"That's his decision to talk about Thomas and we wouldn't say anything," said Sivebaek.
I always thought he is a box to box midfielder. Even if we get Gravesen I still feel we need that 'creative' midfielder. Is Gravesen really the 'attacking' mid-field player that Robson was talking about?
I don't know where people get the idea that Graveson is a creative midfielder, perhaps yes he is more creative than Monty. But thats about it
i wouldnt say he was a creative midfielder, but would signing graveson not then provide some of our existing midfielders with the space and time to be more creative?
Obviously he is a good quality player and solid at that, surely one of our own would get more freedom with someone like him alongside/just behind!!
Oh yes, of that there is no doubt. But on many boards I have been on, they seem to think he is someone who will be creating loads of goals by himself.
not a chance

he obviously really doesnt want to come, balls to him
Robson refuses to give up on Gravesen
BRYAN Robson remains hopeful of luring Thomas Gravesen to Bramall Lane despite claims from the Celtic midfielder's agent that his client will not contemplate the prospect of Championship football.
Gravesen - whose Parkhead teammate, Jean-Joel Perrier-Doumbe, will earn a move to South Yorkshire if he impresses against Alfreton Town this evening - is the Sheffield United manager's top transfer target as he looks to build a squad capable of regaining Premier League status at the first attempt.
Earlier this week, agent John Sivebæk claimed that Gravesen's first preference was to stay north of the border and fight for his place before hinting that his fellow Dane was more likely to sign for a top-flight club in the event of his departure from Glasgow.
But Robson, whose side opened their pre-season account with a 2-0 victory over Worksop Town last night, insisted: "We have had discussions with Celtic and we have made them what we consider to be a good offer for their player.
"I haven't seen what his (Gravesen's) agent has been saying.
"Both Thomas and Celtic know what the situation is and it's now up to them and the player to decide if they want to accept.
"So, yes, I am still hopeful of bringing him here."
Robson also used the match at Sandy Lane to dismiss speculation linking him with West Bromwich Albion striker Kevin Phillips.
Danny Webber celebrated his return to action by scoring United's opener from the penalty spot before Chris Lucketti added a second after the interval.
Robson said: "There's nothing in the Kevin Phillips stuff - it's a non-starter.
"He's a good player but Danny gives me similar movement and I've got younger players already here who can also do the same thing.
"I thought Danny looked really lively (against Worksop)."
Robson had pencilled in Billy Sharp, the former United trainee he signed from Scunthorpe earlier this month, for a starting role at the Impact Arena tonight, but a thigh strain means the prolific youngster will be wrapped in cotton wool until the trip to Ireland later this week.
One player certain to feature is Perrier-Doumbe who, according to Robson, has impressed in training after his move from Rennes to the SPL Champions collapsed under the pressure of red tape.
"I'll play Jean-Joel because I want to see him in a match situation and then I'll make up my mind.," he confirmed.
"He's looked very good in training - very impressive - but I want to watch him."
