I worry about a midfield of Scougall, Baxter, Basham and Adams in a 4-4-2 for away games. Need to know the team selection and formation to have any clue about the likely result. If we play the same team I'll go for 4-2 home win.

Jheez :( lol not very nice predictions.. Well whatever the score Sheffield united still have alot to prove in my eyes.. Need to find good form and consistency. With a 4-0 blow to 2-0 respectable win.. Makes us fans wonder what the hells next

lee the blade i didn't see enough from our back four on Saturday to gain a lot of confidence, Howard and Edgar looked solid and Freeman is a decent player. However, Jay Mac at left back scared me and Collins wasn't really tested. I personally thought Chesterfield were wasteful up front.

I'm also very unsure how the 4-4-2 will work away from home. I'd imagine that we'll struggle to accomodate ache and Scougal, but we'll also have to see if Sammon and Baxter are fit, so that may change things a little

I think Wallace needs to come in for Baxter to give us some extra bite in midfield what with this being an away game. We didn't get much of the ball against Chesterfield so a proper centre mid can only help remedy that. Scougall can work down the right, but only if we accept he will drift inside to pick up the ball and carry. Depends if we wanna play that way with Freeman overlapping or if we want to bring in the match fitness lacking Woolford to play on the right wing. How I wish we hadn't sold Murph...
Sammon Sharp and Adams to stay the same for me and the back 4 from Chesterfield to continue their good work.
As long as we don't start conceding soft goals again like at Gillingham I can see us getting revenge for the smash and grab they pulled on us at Bramall Lane last season in a ground out 1-0 win, Sammon the scorer.

Same team as Saturday but Wallace in for Baxter.

2-0 Blades.

Indeed, you have expected a team that walked through the midfield as much as Chesterfield did to have caused more problems. Some of that was undoubtedly due to the defence standing firm (for example they earned bugger all from all those corners) but Chesterfield were certainly lightweight up top.

Now that I think about it 'lightweight' probably isn't a good term for a strikeforce with Ebanks-Cake in it...

2-1 Blades, Sharp to get off the mark the other by either Adams or Sammon.

That's the most positive post I have seen you make in 10 years or so. Has someone been slipping something in your tea?

I'm going for a 2-1 win tonight.

Peterborough appear to be weaker than any time over the last few years, and we can take confidence from the last couple of games where we have put that awful result against Gillingham behind us.

Scorers I think we will be Che Adams who I think could be on the verge of a scoring streak, and a Jose Baxter pen

I will easily score 5 pre match pints. Oakham brewery tap, The Ostritch, that boat thing, Palmerston Arms for some Batemans and that locals place South of the ground on Park St, Coal heavers I think. May sneak one in the Wetherspoons on Cowgate, but not really my bag.

My mate normally has an extra ration somewhere so I will go with a six all draw!

No ale in the ground for away fans, I believe, so best to pre load.

Definately clean sheet. so one goal should do it .edgar with his first goal for the blades from a corner

When the optimism returns,it normally gets put out instantly. Posh 2-1blades.

I'm going for an away win. I've had a little scouting mission of the opponents by watching the Colchester game via player and if I am honest I was quite underwhelmed by them. At the back they look shakey to say the least and very "out of sync", the back four had a tendency to drift which left spaces in and behind them. The only thing that really stood out was how Peterborough had a little bit of pace about them on the break and they do try and get the ball out wide.

If we play the same Peterborough that I watched from the weekend then we will find ourselves with plenty of attacking opportunities. The likes of Sharp, Adams and Sammon could well have a field day.

I'm going for an away win (shock, shock, horror) 1-3 Blades.

2-0 win.

Peterborough are a pretty inconsistent team, have been for a few years. Yet always expected to get in the play offs every year.
