Absolutelty outstanding today. Led the line superbly. Provided a threat in the air, chased everything down, ran the channels superbly, and when he got the ball at his feet, showed no hesitation in playing off a couple of quality passes. Got through a huge amount of work and never stopped giving it his all. Very, very unlucky not to have his goal disallowed. The complete centre forwards performance. 10/10 for me . More performances like that and it won't be long until we are looking at the next Blades cult hero

I agree with that. He has a good first touch as well, so the ball sticks. With him and Billy up front, it should take some pressure off the defence because both are capable of keeping possession.

We actually have a really strong attacking line up. Get Bob and Brayford fit again and the defence isn't too shabby for this league, either, with Collins and Edgar in the centre. Things must be looking up if I'm being positive.

It really does. I don't think he actually wins many headers, but if it's anywhere else he keeps possession. Good signing by Adkins (and the board ). He was up for it last week as well when he came on.

Exactly the sort of spearhead that we've been wanting. Only problem is that Adkins will try to shoehorn Sharp in as well

I don't think he's ever going to get bag loads of goals but if he plays like he did today he certainly brings something to the team.

Brought sharp and Adams into play well and held the ball up was also unlucky to have a disallowed goal. Looked an improvement on the guys we had playing that role last year.

He reminded me a bit of John Hartson. Did well today as leader of the line. Was equally impressed with Davies and O'Grady last season but with Salmon we've got him for the whole campaign.

If he brings what he did today for the rest of the season, and chips in with a dozen goals, then that's fine.

captain material for me with the traits he showed, non stop work and constant talking to the team.

Excellent today. I would not rate him a 10/10 as for 20 minutes in the second half, he vanished a bit and kept feebly jumping for headers and getting nowhere near, but then he came back strong and destroyed mankind. Really like the look of him the big bald bastard.

It's not rocket science, is it? Sammon, Edgar, Sharp are players that are not quite good enough for the Championship but are outstanding at our level. There must be dozens out there (Stevie May always struck me as one) so let's go and buy/loan a few more.
