How do we find him?

We've not had one like him since he retired and we've been on a downward spiral ever since on the field.
How do we arrest the slide? The players on the pitch just don't have the guts to play for this club, they need someone on the pitch to lead them and show them how it's done.

We've never properly replaced him. Not brought someone in who will kick and head through brick walls all in the name of SUFC.

We lack organisation, a real leader, a model pro, a cult hero, a passionate man, a hero, a CAPTAIN

They're a dying breed, if you look all the way up the leagues everyone's after a top class centre back. Just look at the sky high bids Chelsea are putting in for John Stones.

Lock McGahey in a cellar and raise him on a diet of cups of black tea, broken biscuits and daily beatings.

It's true, they're all a bit nice aren't they, I'm not an advocate of the "let's see how fast you can limp" school of competing i.e. deliberately going on the pitch to crock someone, but someone who sometimes ends up in the notebook for clattering someone born of a total desire to win is exactly what we need, it's the quality that has made John Terry the dominant English defender of his generation despite his lack of pace, moderate ability, and manifold failings as a human being.

Sure someone in another post said Edgar enjoys heading bricks, maybe he'll be our man?

Ask a Barnsley mp who after his 3 minutes of fame I can't even remember his name, he had plenty of advice to offer over the real Chris Morgan

We have no natural leader on the pitch at the moment,no one to motivate and organise,a McCall,Morgan type

He was called Eric Illsley. He subsequently blotted his own copybook by getting sent down for expenses fraud. I think someone on here has the dubious pleasure of exchanging some correspondence with him over the matter. Think it might have been WalthamstowBlade

Surely Sams or Johns, bread and dripping and daily beatings. Chris never struck me as a rich tea man.

It's quite an impressive achievement on Illsley's part that as much of a cunt as I am in those emails, he's a bigger one.

According to wiki, after his release from jail, "On 13 October 2011, he appeared on BBCNewsnight on which he described his inflated expenses claims as "an allowance for living in London". He also revealed that he receives a Parliamentary pension, although he refused to disclose the amount."

There are good players out there if you look hard enough

It's a pity Ross tokely is say it at 36 he would have been ideal 5 years ago
