Twitter Says Gary Hoopers is in talks

If we signed Hooper I would be dumbfounded. Norwich bought him for 5 million, I know they've gone up and he's probably surplus to requirements but can't see them letting him go for half the price, nor would I imagine he would want to be in league 1.

Further to my earlier post:

Well, seen as you've spelt both names wrong, they could be girls you know for all we know.
 
Hooper would be an epic signing even if we had him on loan for the season.

Although we can whistle because there is no way we would get him and he will end up at another Championship club.
 
Odds are against it but if we could somehow get him here that would just be brilliant.

I don't understand the random involvement of Diego Costa? There's apparent rumours about Gary Hooper so I just commented on those rumours. Don't see the problem here and don't understand your comment i'm afraid. Care to explain?

There is no smoke without fire . If SUFC could get Hooper , that would be the ticket for promotion . I don't think the transfer fee would be the issue . it would be the wage level and length of contact . The Adkins factor could clinch it for me . He does seem surplus to requirements at Norwich , but if not just twitter talk , he would have to be sold on the dream of BDTBL and money in his pocket.

Pity Higdon couldn't play CB , which would save us a boat load of money to start with , and then not just warming is arse in the stand or on the bench.

You need 2no top class strikers to get out of any division , but its all down to , if the board are willing to speculate to accumulate , have the money , and more important , the nerve. Hooper if he did come , over time as a asset in financial terms , would drop , but as a promotion threat , the club would rise . Like life , it all comes down to risk.

Steady on, he's scored most of his goals in League 1 and the Scottish Prem where the likes of Lyle Taylor, Higdon and Stokes have flourished. Great signing it would be yes, but let's not get carried away with his pedigree.
