This is it. The feeling in my bones I've been waiting for.
It's all coming together - new pitch, new manager, new kit, new belief. The dawn of a new era, like planetary bodies coming into perfect alignment.
Our destiny.
Our Sheffield United.

I certainly liked in his press conference that his manner was one of utter acceptance that promotion is the key for everyone, including himself and his personal motivations. And said with confidence and few provisos. It reflects the positivity the Scunthorpe and Southampton fans admired. I also admire that.

When we start knocking that ball about , on that lovely green pitch , with style , we will also start loving that new kit . New start in every way for BDTBL . Bet them season ticket numbers start going up .

I would definitely buy one. If I hadn't already.

But it certainly raises my expectation that a much brighter season lays ahead.

Well, I've just listened to his interview and it was the standard bullshit one would expect from any new incoming manager. Cliche riddled, of no real substance and gave no clues to anything.
A cynical view I know, but really, words are cheap. My views will form around Christmas time, until then, open mind prevails.

It was good enough for me , and i am a cynical twat . He couldn't say by christmas we will be 20 points clear , and every other team is wank . I will guarantee promotion.

For once in a long time its good to feel SUFC positive , and reading between the lines of posts , so are the majority on here , and we are a good barometer for all things blades . Keep the faith LSF.

Poor guy, has no one told him we're cursed? If things start to go too well the Footballing Gods will sneak some indecent images on his laptop or have him impaled by a frozen shaft of Boeing 747 urine.

Can't disagree with that, cynical or sceptical? You and I both, I presume, have listened to managers and anyone else with any authority at a football club promise the world and as Blades, well... My point more that he conducted himself well, positively and it's a refreshing change from recent incumbents. And while I believe/hope that by Christmas NA will have delivered what we hope, I am far too old and football-weary* to know and state it

*there is a childish, enthusiastic part of me though that can't see us not winning the division at a cantor...
