Karl Robinson

Where do you get £100K from. McFadzean alone cost £400K. Why exaggerate?

Reports in the media is where I got my figure.
If you're going to contradict me at least put up your evidence.

I’m making the point that he wouldn’t have been given four years of glacial progress at most clubs. Certainly not at United.

Since NNC didn't start from anything like the same place as KR it is a ludicrously facile viewpoint to even begin to compare the two time frames.

If he gets the job, I will watch with interest to see how long it is before you (and others) turn against him.

I was amazed NNC got the job at Derby and predicted then that he wouldn't ever make a successful manager. That remains my viewpoint.
No one is above criticism and no one can see the future but somehow I doubt many managers can be as utterly incompetent in as many areas as Clough.
For your records, I didn't say a word about wanting Wilson, Blackwell or Weir to go when they did.

It’s "embarrassing" for you to imply that MK Dons had nothing when Robinson took over.
i didn't imply anything of the sort, please re read what i did write

From the media if you have contrary evidence I'm happy to apologise, if you can show any contrary evidence.

I’ve got nothing against Robinson.

Only that you've spent hours to find out that in Year Z out of 5 years the attendances went down by 200, or whatever.
Do you think the United board should quiz him over this?
Maybe ask Jim Phipps to put you on the next managers interviewing panel with this sort of 'forensic knowledge', it might be invaluable.

Is it just a coincidence that a few of the 'NC evangelical diehards' are already criticising potential alternatives with such vigour.
The Messiah is dead.
I think they should move on and support our next manager.
bye.

Who are these supposed to be exactly? I think most of those that were willing to let him start the season are mildly disappointed at the most by the sacking.

Robinsons Sky bet odds slashed 8 to 1 to 7/2.

If you are quick Ladders still have him at 9/1/

Unless there is someone we are unaware about, I can only see Adkins, Warburton and Robinson who hit the mark in how we want to play and with promotions from this division.

Whoever the manager is, he needs to be a positive guy. Someone to walk in and say with a couple of additions he says we are going to get promotion. We want our players to play with confidence and heart and outside of the top 3 mentioned, I think any other realistic option would be a punt.

Although I can't help wondering, if they want to keep the negotiations secret, why candidates are being interviewed at the Lane as opposed to a private meeting room somewhere
Quite possible that their at the next stage, showing top candidate(s) the facilities ?

Well who ever he is if he hasn't already spotted the obvious about where we need to improve, we're still in deep do do ...:(

There's no chance anyone has seem them at the lane. If I was working there and saw Adkins walk in then I would be straight on the phone to the bookies and putting my wages on him to appointed.

Guys, this is 100% accurate as my mate who's son plays at the academy has just heard This. Right here goes, Robinson is interested in the SUFC job. He's told the board he's interested in the job. And will be able to talk to our board from Monday, Robbo is top target and Adkins is all signed up and ready to go but we are apparently 'exploring' Robinson's contract situation with Mk that's why there's been a delay. Parkinson is last choice incase any of this falls thru. Let's wait and see what happens but Robbo is defo intrested.

My mate is a Catholic, and his son says Pope Francis has just put a load of dosh on Robbo so........ (taps side of nose)

I'm more convinced by the day that it will be Karl Robinson. Wishful thinking perhaps, because I think he'll be exactly the right fit for us and hit the ground running.. Hang on, I backed Weir, didn't I?....

Right...

....As for Karl Ribinson, fucking useless, anybody but him...

Do you really think it took me "hours" to find out MK Dons average attendances? There's this thing called the internet that makes it quite easy nowadays.

I'm genuinely interested in the past performance of our prospective next managers. It's worth spending a few minutes checking them out.

What is this magical i...n...t...e....r...n...e...t you speak of, tell us more ;) can it see the future?

will miss Brayford , need cover there too say he could be back for new year , but in what state
got to replace for the season to be sure
Don't worry Adkins knows a good rb when he sees one he signed Clyne for Southampton ;)

I might be rehashing a lot of already spoken opinions here; but I sincerely hope it is Robinson.

What he has done at MK is show how good his eye is for young talent and working under financial constraints which, after the spending wasted on Clough, is something I think he might have to operate within under us.

Ultimately I will support any future United Manager who sets up a team to go out and win games from the off.

I did warn you all about Young Max! There's a lot more to come, believe me....

I can categorically assure you that youth team players are not taken into confidence by the board in relation to recruitment of management or players. Sorry if that's a surprise or disappointment.

I join Foxy in a synchronised head-shake!

grown men should really know better to poke fun and someone's youthful enthusiasm. Let me shake my head at the rest of you!

My head shake isn't at the youngster. It's aimed at those who actually take it seriously! I suspect Foxy is the same!

Believe me though, there'll come a time when you and everyone else have had enough of Max - he's relentless!

same suspects were laughing at BoS last weekend i seem to remember :)

No doubt all this thread could be , is a copy of the meeting minutes of the Board of Directors . When it comes to choosing managers , there is as much rumours , gossip , or innuendos as the forum.

They have as much idea as us , in sorting managers out , in fact us lot , come up with more sense , even young Max.
