I doubt it, mate. I've not perceived a popular demand for the return of turgid, agricultural pub football at professional level. Most fans have not had their thinking warped by a period of success under Dave Bassett, who I'm increasingly satisfied, has warped the minds of thousands of Bladey Blades, who actually (and ludicrously) seem to think his "style" can still work today. Actually I's like to see us appoint him as DoF right now, with Hoofy "Morgs" as his manager. That would put the matter to rest, one way or the other, wouldn't it?
Proper football is the way to win, at whatever level but of course, relative to that level. Of course we can't replicate Barca or Real, but we can sure as hell emulate Norwich, Southampton, Bournemouth, Bristol, Milton Keynes and countless others who have played their way out of this league in the proper way.
