I've just been ignoring PP on the odds because i have faith the board wouldn't appoint him and also
the fact that if they did, lots of blades wouldn't be very happy and i'm sure the board will have noticed
if a manager is liked or not and who our favourite is.

2. Saved it as a jpg on my PC
3. Opened it in Photo Gallery
4. Wouldn't let me C+P
5. So I created a gallery and uploaded to that (not bc I thought it was worth the effort, more just to see if it would work)
6. Inserted it from there.

A right faff. Others insert what look like screenshots, just wondered how they did it.

Went to the wikipedia page and snipped the table from there. If that's what you mean then, Yes.

But it gets saved as an image file on your PC. The problem for me is how to get an image from a PC to a forum post. I found a workaround but others seem to be able to do it much more efficiently.

Once you've snipped it, then "edit........copy". Then CTRL V in your post? It takes seconds.

For all my criticism of Clough, my plan would have been to give him until Christmas - 2 years - and then decide based on the direction of travel.

I agree, I think his demise came forward because of the feeling that we'd gone backwards of late.

If we appoint Adkins I will understand why we've jumped sooner. If we appoint a no mark, I'll be really disappointed.

Clough would have been there next season up to christmas and beyond , but he made one of many fundamental errors. The main one is forgetting that he is employed by the club and doesn't own it , and perhaps made this mistake when talking to the board . Clough senior could get away with that form of arrogance , because he won trophies , Clough junior cannot and never will . A bit like father , like son , attitude perhaps.

The interesting thing here is that the only real success we have had in the last 26 years is with Bassett(2 promotions)and Warnock(1 promotion),who are both at the hoof end of the scale!
No success with Robson,Wier,Clough etc who are pretty much at the tip tap end of the scale.What do you think Pinchy?

Yes I agree we got success with Basset and Warnock but also take into account that they were given longer than 18 months to achieve it, if they only had 18 months in charge their record of achievement would look completely different

I dont know about which style is more succesful but i know which managers had me out of my seat and which had me nodding off in it

Whilst I look back fondly on both periods, both Neil and Harry had me sit through some of the worst games a has ever seen.

That said the champions league final at old Trafford between the two Italian teams that I've erased from my memory was worse as it was supposed to be the cream of the crop.

Regardless of hoof or sideways tippy tappy styles. The most important thing is to show some spirit and be willing to take a chance to try and win.
