A return to the premiership and to stay in it is what i want... However the style. I'd drive down to West Ham and pick him up myself if for some strange reason he'd like to manage a lg1 side

I'd puncture your tyres...

He's an unpleasant individual, steeped in mind-numbing hoof and has an off the field history that I find unappealing...

It's not a case by the way of "whatever the style.." Hoof got rumbled by good teams many years ago and it doesn't work, thank Pele...

We should have kept polite Mr wier and his side to side passing football

I want us up whatever the style. Our fifth year next year and the likes of pulis or big sam would be way out of our league even in 5yrs time even though they were rumbled years ago.

Some belters on that list, Harry Redknapp ! :D. Paul Cook:rolleyes:, think we can safely say that ship has sailed.
How about sabella and see if he can entice messi over here. Messi has won most things in football all that's left now is to see if he can do it at gigg lane on a cold rainy winters night

Robinson or Adkins

Adkins was muted around christmas time as mentioned by Henry Winter . Does he know the division well enough from his Scunthorpe and Southampton days .

Blades require someone who is young , experienced , footballing brain , who can follow and improve the Clough ethos , but with attacking , defensive , steel . Watch this space for a not out of work manager , but someone who has been there and done it , with the next step in his own managerial career.

Watch this space - Robinson. ( would be perfect fit )

Giving many fans what they really want? The return of long discredited Hoof? He certainly would.
Please stop with this nonsense. You've had 5 years of being proved spectacularly wrong Pinchy. We can only dream of a manager like Sam Allerdyce.

It's Interesting to see the fortunes of all the clubs who decided to "move on" from his "discredited" tactics. In fact, they are much he same as ours since the club policy mirrored your advice - Disastrous.

Why would he come to us having just got MK promoted?

Why would he come to us having just got MK promoted?

He was in the running , offered the job . Clough wasn't first choice .

Robinson had unfinished business to prove at MK Dons , which has now been achieved.

Time for him to move on . Method in his madness with the continued SUFC love in.

Better chance of his own CV improvement , with another club , with now being the right time .

Forget out of work managers , they are out of work for a reason .

Also Robinson has great respect for Morgan .

Robinson is the man

Looks like somebody just put big money on phil parkinson and sky bet shit themselves
Or he's about to be sacked too and they're putting 2 and 2 together. Read a rumour other day warnock was linked with Bradford after their new backers had worked with him at QPR

Have I? Do list all the clubs who have won trophies in those years.

Did you watch the dicumentary on the Crazy Gang - The one tactic being Lurch running up to and beyond the halfway line and whacking it in the general direction of the opposition goal for two huge forwards to battle for constant 50/50 balls. Deeply embarrassing non-football! And there, orchestrating the whole shameful exercise - our hero Dinosaur Dave.

Allardyce a dream? A nightmare for proper football fans mate. I want our club to go back to the Harris days mate. A winning team playing football to be proud of. If Bassett is the standard you aspire to, that's your call, but don't announce it outside s2. People like that Australian bloke will laugh.

Just seen Sam Allardyce in meadowhall

Parkinson is known as a good cup manager, but he's no better than we have at the moment imo.

From wiki re: his time at Charlton

In League One, Charlton started off very well winning their first six league matches, but that run was brought to an end after a 1–1 draw at home to Southampton, Parkinson's ex manager Alan Pardew's side. Charlton continued to do well and were in the top two until the new year where Norwich overtook them and they then never returned to the top two, finishing fourth in the league. In the play-offs, they had to play Swindon Town over the two legs and lost the first one 2–1 at the County Ground. But in the second they turned it around and led 2–0 but Swindon fought back and it finished 3–3 on aggregate. Swindon then continued and won on penalties 5–4 to condemn Parkinson and his men to another season in League One. But having not won a league game since November, Parkinson was sacked on 4 January 2011, the day after his side's 4–2 loss at home to Swindon Town.

Adkins would be a great shout. For starters, I've already seen him referred to as Atkins on other threads, so he can continue in the age-old tradition of misspelling the names of those at the club. Also, we already have a transferable shit nickname in place from the last manager if he doesn't play the style or personnel we want.
