Clough did a good job of that himself on a numerous of occasions last season.Football short-termism at its worst.
It makes us look ridiculous.

Please not Sam Allerdyce?Give it to Morgs!1 Please not Billy Davies, Sam Allardyce, Ian Dowie etc or any of the other that get trotted out.
The polls meant fuck all in the end aswell. If the board were listening to the fans on polls etc, etc, then surely they'd have kept him, but they haven't, i think they've took this decision on themselves to sack him because there hasn't been any real calls for his head at matches. This club lurches from self inflicted crisis to crisis.
Another stupid sacking and for that reason I couldn't give two fucks who they appoint, as it'll only last a short while before the noisy minority influence the weak buggers who run our club.
Probably Morgs, who appears to have escaped the scythe that's taken out team Clough. And why not? No other fucker gets much of a shot at it, six months and he'll be gone too.... Sad, but hey ho, I'll be there for the roller coaster next August..
He's not our Nige anymoreOur Nige couldn't even lay the foundation blocks eg. Captain, Defence etc
The powers that be have finally realised that we cannot afford to try and tippy toe our way out of this crap division. the Lane needs to be the place away teams fear to come. How many of them are used to playing in front of 20,000 at home! Finally lets hope it's goodbye to negativity and hello attack, attack, attack!!!

Woody , It shows the boards intent , if they are willing to pay off all the staff ( does it include Morgan ) . Although pro Clough , my spirits have been lifted.
UTB
Why would you sack the best conduit to all the players?Get ready for Morgan to be appointed. Why the hell hasn't he been sacked too?

Me too he's been a part of the failure at this club for past 5 seasons. Maybe that's just a coincidence though.I'm interested why Morgan's gets away with it.
I didn't think he did warrant another year but i have to admit, i'd come round to the idea of him getting it.He did enough for me to warrant another year. It was a 3 year plan and he deserved until Christmas at least. They better have someone good in to replace him though or else this is going to be a very bad move in my opinion.
My personal choice is Jurgen Klopp, we are more appealing than Brentford I reckon http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-3094864/Brentford-fail-audacious-Jurgen-Klopp.html
You wanna sit near the directors box and hear some of the shite hurled towards the decision makers. The polls meant fuck all in the end aswell. Great. Now we can miss out on possible transfers while we fuck around trying to install another also-ran. Happy times.
The manager is the only one who should have control over transfer targets.Window doesn't open until July, and I always think having the manager have too much influence over transfers is dangerous anyway. Nothing to stop Brannigan or whoever talking to prospective centre backs right now.
They sure know how to start a week.....surprised by this, but there again very little about professional football surprises me.
So, I've already read calls for stability within the club, kind of reminds me of what was said when Clough was appointed. All manner of questions occur to me, will Brayford want to stay? Will a new manager be expected to deliver promotion in his first season, or will it be a season of transition thus ensuring this and next season in Division 1? And so on and so on.....
I suppose it does reveal that cut throat realism now exists within the club, and that a manager must achieve, not come close to achieving. I felt Clough might be savvy enough to learn from last season't mistakes, but we'll never know now. Time to move on, get behind the new guy, and hope we see significant improvements where it matters, on the pitch.
I sense this thread will gather pace as the day moves on. So, Up The Blades, as ever, perhaps ambition behind the scenes finally matches the fine words we've heard far too often in the past.
Neanderthal pub team HOOOOFF!!
My word, they're showing their true colours today.
Let's bring Dinosaur Dave back with Bladey Hoofer Morgs to answer his phone.
I despair. I really do.
