God no, it's only a few games ago his summary was "unacceptable"

So apparently he's stated tonight that he''s proud of the them

Unfortunately, I think I know where this is headed! :(

Unfortunately for us, losing the tie by one goal has given this American clown and his fellow board members the excuse to continue with Clough next season, rest assured.

Absolutely Swiss. We went toe to toe with another contender. We are clearly not for off of the nucleus of a great team. A couple of central defenders and Davies, I would say.

The calamity defence is down to Clough

He's only had all season to sort it and no cb's amounts to incompetence

That defence looked like a bunch of schoolboys

He has to take responsibility and therefore should go imo

Basham had good words to say about the gaffer.

Basham, Beard, Harris, Freeman, Flynn, Murphy, Done, Adams, McNulty and hopefully Davies will be legends next season.

I do feel Coutts will be too, given a decent Summer.

With the right CB pairing, we can be Champions. Changing management now, would only be a big gamble.

And the lunatics would be doing the choosing, leave it be, and let Nige sort it.

Wallace too? Or am I getting carried away?

Murphy wont be here next season.

It would be a gamble, particularly given we have no guarantee that we'd appoint the right person. That said, unless Clough is able to recognise what needs to be done to get us firmly into the top two, keeping him is also a big gamble. At this current moment in time, I'm not sure which is the bigger gamble.

Everything is a gamble - its a gamble that Clough won't screw up again, its a gamble that he might actually sign 2 decent centre halves, its a gamble that he won't fall out with players again and leave us high and dry - if it was a case of more of the same I might agree, but it isn't and do you honestly see Clough changing ?

He might have fallen out with players (or he might not have) but those left all have seemed to get on as a squad and all those left seem Ok playing for Clough, even those who have been bench warming.

Perhaps those who have left are bad apples, how would us fans know either way?

I'd be prepared to listen to the throbbers telling me how ace next season is going to be if they weren't the same throbbers who've told me all this season that everything is awesome. Breaking news- it isn't.

Everything should be up for review here we've finished the season a rag tag and bobtail outfit without a win in five or six.

The board should be reviewing the performance of all with one question asked of all " what can you improve on next season" .

The ones who are left were not up to the job though were they? My point is things need to change (especially mentally) and Clough doesn't do change - he's a one trick pony I am afraid and tactically very limited. I really wish it wasn't so, but I think it is untenable to try and argue that sticking with Clough is a zero risk option. It clearly isn't.

That utterly pathetic defence tonight is down to cloughs stubbornness to play certain players and assemble any men that close players down. 12 fucking goals we've conceded this season against Swindon bastarding town. He can go immediately and take his stubborn Mardy concede from every set piece arse with him.
