The tea lady? Anyone with foresight to actually use their substitutions earlier when their team is losing in a crucial match.

anyone.. you do it.. please buy a couple of decent centre backs and a non myopic keeper..players in postions. easy

Nick Clegg has some spare time & he is local! He doesn't tell the truth but is good with words, & the clincher he is ace at working with lost causes & those that have no chance!! Certainty for the role!

But if he is unavailable I would go for Mick McCarthy, an honest guy who always manages to get the best out of players & can work with little money.

I think Clough has to go because it will just be the same negative tactics again next season

can't be worse than Clough , I have never liked him , as some of my posts through the season shows , please , please get rid of him and when he goes nobody else would want him , big style tozzer

Just keep Clough, he needs to trim the meat of the squad and sign some seriously good players. Quality over quantity is a must this pre-season regardless of who's in charge.

Take a look at the number of players Clough has signed and how much they've improved the starting 11. We were promised quality over quantity last season.

He'll be at Higdon and Baxter with a potato peeler then.

He was trimming the squad and only bringing in quality last pre-season. He was as good as that as man management, tactics and motivation.

Adkins, allerdyce , poyet,Warburton and warnock :p
Plus others who would want the job

Some how I've got a gut feeling that it won't be, tonight showed how we can play with the shackles off and I'm sure the squad will push for that next season.

If we sort out a back four, striker and goalie we will be flying.

Decent pre-season as well, God knows what happened this season?

I think Clough suffered from waiting for his targets to become available rather than moving on to plan B when the signing couldn't be completed and get someone else in.

Let's hope he has learnt from this season.

If he were to get the boot (he won't) I'd like to see us in for Neil Redfearn. But until he's officially been sacked there's not much point discussing it.

Nigel goes, give Morgan a proper go at the job
See I'd love for Morgan to succeed at the blades, but I'm not sure he can and some fans would see it as a negative move. Back to Clough. He can get us promoted the right way next season and I believe he has closer the squad he wants this season than last season. Some will go some will come in but it won't be a massive overhaul. The stability will help the players to consistently put in performances in my opinion. I'm not saying another manager couldn't come in and improve us, however it's a bigger risk than keeping Clough.

that's no excuse for not getting any cb's in, when he lost Harry and got shut of Butler and Collins right at the start of the season

It's very easy to criticise Clough on many matters and difficult to defend him but......

....it still feels right and the managerial roundabout has got us where we are.

hmmm - closer to the right squad ??? - reminds me of the old saying "a million monkeys banging on a million typewriters will eventually reproduce the entire works of Shakespeare". If he stays, and I hope not, he cannot be left in sole control of transfers and his brother needs to come off the payroll.

My personal opinion would be that Morgan or redfearn would be a disaster for United. Morgan makes for a good no.2 but I doubt he'll ever be a successful manager. The frustration of this season is felt by everyone but just look at mk Dons, a few years knocking at the door but with stability they got there, come next May we'll be cracking open the champagne!!!!! Keep the faith
