Tony was 1 of my heroes as a young boy,one of my mates was a pig and we used to argue who was the hardest,Tony Kenworthy or Mike Pickering :)

I do enjoy looking back to the great teams and players we have had over the years. Somehow I don't have any positive memories of those players that played in the BDM.

Just started reading it.

Simon Jordan's book is a decent read.

I read Bladeheart a while ago and agree it's a really good read and very interesting. Tony was one of my favourite players and I'll always remember his bullet header against Peterboro in the last home game of the season of 1982 - happy memories. One very small criticism of the book is that it's not always factually correct so I think it wasn't quite researched well enough but for me, what stands out, is how badly the club was managed, particularly in the 1970's. That might seem an obvious statement but even down to things like how injured players were looked after. It also strikes me how badly players were treated and and just a litany of poor decision making since the early 70's by the club and it's managers.

Let's start a list shall we.....
Selling Keith Edwards to Hull for £50,000 after he'd scored 18 goals in a season and replacing him with Steve Finnieston
Selling TC to Leeds in 1976....

Please add more!

May I also recommend the Keith Edwards story....http://www.amazon.co.uk/372/dp/1904...8&sr=8-1&keywords=keith+edwards+autobiography

Another must read for any blade.

I know it's a while ago but it might be handy to have a list of errors - for future reference even. (I've not been looking.)

Can you think of any? And I wonder if anyone else can too.

He mixes up the 2 Mansfield home games in 1989.

I've lent my copy to a mate at the moment (like to spread the good word!). It is things like mixing matches up or getting scores and dates wrong, trivial stuff but you'd think someone would have helped Tony out with that.

There are not many factual football errors in either Tony or King Keith's book.

Alan Hodgkinsons book, on the other hand, is riddled with them.
