Get Collins back in. Him and Basham in the middle of the back four.

Anyone know where Turner is?, going into the play offs with Willis on the bench is a hell of a risk.

I would like to see;

Howard
Brayford
Harris
Collins
Basham
Flynn
Coutts
Holt
Murphy
Baxter
Davies S

I suspect it will be;

Howard
Freeman
Brayford
McEveley
Harris
Coutts
Basham
Holt
Murphy
Baxter
Davies S

I can actually post some actual ITK info, its not a great surprise, but there is more chance of me being in the squad on Thursday than Neil Collins. He's not in consideration.

I would seriously have considered playing Collins with McEveley. But I also think Sunday's defence will be ok, and still enable us to have Basham in midfield.

Despite Collins's availability (and according to Clough's interview he was involved in training), I don't think it's wise to do a completely different back 4 starting Thursday, and Collins has been out of the picture far too long to come back in now. I'd be comfortable with any one of McEveley & Brayford, Basham & Brayford, or Basham & McEveley.

I appreciate this may offend the growing number of Collins worshippers but throwing him into a play-off semi final at the very venue where his inept display led to us conceding 5 and him being dropped is nothing short of suicide. Sure, there has been a fundamental issue at CB throughout the season but Collins is not the answer and I'd be amazed if he even got close to making the bench in either leg.

Agree, Collins and Doyle were the problem long before Clough turned up.

Can you head a ball when it's played into our box ?

In which case, bring your boots on Thursday.

I think that would be the one pairing I would never play.

I'd play 3 at the back rather than play McEverley and Collins. They're both prone go a mistake

All our centre halves have been making errors this season. I think whoever plays there will get it easier if we're stronger and more physical in midfield and that implies Basham has to play there.

I'm happy to keep the Bray and McEv there for the play offs. They're going to have a better understanding than Collins will with them.

Basham needs to get in midfield with probably baxter and holt and Doyle/ Coutts as defensive back ups. Scougs will slot in for holt when he tires

Then on the wings we've got murphy/ Che and Flynn/ done.

I'm happy with all that

I think Clough will play Coutts holding, flanked by Basham and Holt.

Holt who pops up with a goal, or scougall who can carry the ball. That's the main dejection dilemma for me.

Holt in home leg, scougall away?

Mind you we could play them both...

I think the same, although I wouldn't mind Coutts flanked by Bash and Scougs for there mobility, and both can run with the ball,go past their man,and work hard to close down to win back possesion..Happy with the Back line we put out v Chesterfield, then Davis up front with Murphy and Flynn wide.Difficult to leave out Done and Holt though...but on the bench with Jose for me.

Matt Done sounds like he won't be fit enough for the two play off games, which is a shame. I would play McNulty and Steven Davies up front against Swindon

McEveley at CH is a real weakness. Aisi he doesn't have the positional sense. Satdi a number of times he was playing a higher line than the other three. Maybe this accounts for him getting caught under the ball so much.

Besides that at one point he had a right go at Bob for something, though it looked like he apologised almost immediately. A sign of someone under pressure.

This isn't McEveley bashing: he's a full back, and one tackle he made against Chesterfield was top class, it's just that imo he is often a significant liability at CH.

I think McEveley will be fine ,experience will be important with the pressure and despite a few mistakes lately he has had a good season.
