I know we were bad first half but the level of abuse thrown at the players was ridiculous. Jamie Murphy in particular was getting dogs abuse. Almost every bad pass was screamed at and being in the fourth row must have been heard by the players. A guy to my right slept through the whole of the first half, was woken for the second and within a minute was yelling at the players. I know, I know, you pay your money blah, blah, blah, but for ninety minutes let's get behind the team!
Oh and can that be right, Jamie Murphy scored the equaliser, even though Oldham doubled up on him all game?

I had some proper grumblers in front of me as well, on the front two rows. Constant moaning, throughout the entire first half and up to the point of us equalising in the second. Clough's a "knob-eeard" apparently (repeat 90 times).

You must have been near me. I was on row C seat 35 next to my son and there were a young lad with blue top on my right and them a bearded man with cap and then this guy who slept throughout the 1st half!

you are right - a few whingers. but least be right, probably one of the worst team performances this season.

We redeemed ourselves, and that showed CHARACTER.

8 now unbeaten away on the trot.............

I had things to do today and couldn't go ,popped into Shoutbox twice before half time to see how we were doing. It was exactly as you imagine ,Cloughs useless ,write the game off ,write the season off ,dwarf this ,picks his favourites that ,yada yada yada. Silverfox even posted 'I wouldn't like you lot behind me in a fight' . I kept out of it ,got sick of all the shit the other week after Crewe.

It was really disappointing the first half display - really poor.
I don't get to many away games so have to admit I was a bit surprised at the boos at half time.
We were right at the back and there was some unhappy fans but no out and out personal attacks I didn't hear anyway.
In no way am I making excuses for player abuse I don't think that's at all helpful but I can understand why people were unhappy with that first half display when the very basics aren't done well and in the heat of the moment you can't see a way back into the game .
So to be clear I don't think that first half was good enough but I didn't abuse or boo.

Apparently Clough picked McNulty to play up front on his own on the back of no game-time whatsoever in the last two months deliberately so he could whinge about him after the match when he fucks up; "He loves moaning about McNulty, the knob-eeard."

"I totally agree with yer, mate."

Oh, and Holt should "fuck off back to Hearts" (aimed directly at the player when he ventured near to the goal-line as a United attack foundered). Well, I'm just glad he stayed south of the border for the second half.
Seriously ?? That actually happened ?? Boneheads

If we get to Wembley in the play off final before you can have a ticket you have to pass Jeremy kyle,s lie detector to see if you have had negative thoughts about the manager and players during any game this season if you have you don't get a ticket :D:D:D

Every team doubles up on Murphs and yet we dont find space elsewhere - management problem.

I'll fail the test. I have negative thoughts. Then again, I take a deep breath and sleep on it before I post. And I would never shout something negative to a Blade during the match (like that's going to f**king help). Makes me so annoyed, slagging players as they are playing. Bloody hell.

apart from the space we found down the right hand side today and at Barnsley that is !!! (remind which side our first goal came from today ?)

Fans with blinkers on problem

Murphy likes to gain control of the ball and run at defenders. Opposition populate that area in wide midfield. We never ever populate the inevitable gaps which that creates because we have too many players back in cautious areas.

Really?....is that why we are creating goals and chances down the opposite side ? Four wins and a draw from the last six games would suggest you are unable to acknowledge what is actually happening on the pitch due to your anti Clough 'party line'

Flynn and Coutts(today) exposed that space

Apparently those fans who are rapid to call us in here insist they don't throw abuse at games , you must be mistaken
How on earth have you hard wired criticism on here with that given at a game? I've been fairly critical on here of late and never do it at a game.

It's quite possible you know, even outside the utopian la la land you exist in.

Depends what your expectations are. We are sixth best goalscoring team in our division. IMO nowhere near good enough, and your opinion?

Finally enough there were a couple of pigs on p or g tonight directing the same criticisms at a section of their support. Is it a Sheffield thing? Doubt it.

I wonder if the Sunderland forums discuss leaving early. They certainly have plenty of time to do so, having gone at half time.

You didnt go to Barnsley did you ?

My opinion is that it is not the end of the season and we still might go up. But then I don't look to criticise at every opportunity.

I also have the opinion that you are gutted if we play well and will still have a go at Clough no matter how well we do.Quite sad really.

You weren't how I pictured you ;)

Which one were you then? Let me guess... was it you that I told you I thought it might be that Coutts scored our 2nd (everyone near me were asking "who was it?"). 5 mins later after my son checked the scorer I came back to the same man and said "it was Murphy". Was this man you?
