Yes, he is on the far right of the front row. The photo must have been taken while the club was waiting for the results of his medical test!

I think Whittle played all the games in the pre season tour in 1976.

Didnt know that. Will check Complete records when I get home. Always thought that he came to us for a very short time. The other pre-season 1976-77 photo had Dearden, Edwards, Goulding, Speight and Faulkner but were not in the one I have just posted. The one I have just posted was probably the second one taken because it included Chico Hamilton who signed for us that summerI think Whittle played all the games in the pre season tour in 1976.

He did - 3 games in Belgium and Holland. He signed for Orient after we released him.
Quick quiz. Who was the player who had a similar experience in 1989 - played all our pre season tour games and then not signed.
Louie Donowa?
Cheers RevHe did - 3 games in Belgium and Holland. He signed for Orient after we released him.
I was at that Notts County friendly and during the warm up I was asking Blades fans who this "new face" is. No one knew!Louie Donowa?
Ahh, the great Baxter himself, no not the scouse one.

Pigeon chest! Terrible right back....<----------- and talking of giving you screaming nightmares?
Saw the photo on "Photographer Leicester" and thought: who? Don't remember the name, and can't see him in the "who's who?"(which does mention trialists we never signed like Louie Donowa and Dominic Iorfa).Paul Nugent - appeared in the 75-6 squad photo but never played for the first team...
Strange thing is, he played up front at Elm Park.
Hottest day of the year on an open away end. Lots of sunburnt blades that day. He nearly scored if I remember rightly.
It's a happy chappie today...
One time academy star Lewis Killeen. I think in a Crawley shirt there, not sure where he is now
Well done that man. That's a Drolysden shirt and I think he is now at Congleton Town. Not quite sure if this is him as well
