No one is questioning bringing youngster through.
I said with Clough once you're out your out. This refers to his obstinacy and once a judgement is made.
I'd say that viewpoint is pretty much backed up by the evidence of what has happened to 4 players here at BDTBL
It is also backed up by EVERY SINGLE ONE of my NUMEROUS DERBY FAN friends.
I have only reportedly what Derby fans tell me, so please don't tell me what my friends say is bollocks.
It is their viewpoint, and one which I concur with.
It might be different viewpoint to the fans who you associate with, but it is their viewpoint.
The Derby fan Rampage posting on here said this of Clough ''Because although he could be a bit stubborn and often cut off his nose to spite his face,he is a principled man''
Which is exactly why I used the phrase
A good manager has to realise his mistakes, put aside his obstinacy for the greater good,.
Davie, stop beating that drum, it's constant pounding isn't going to help your point of view just because you choose to emphasise specific words as if this adds substance to your opinion. For every suggestion of obstinacy, there's a different point of view that suggests that having considered a situation decisive action needs to be taken.
Could you name the 4 unspecified players who've left United because of Clough? Butler will no doubt head that list, so would you be so gracious as to let all of us into the reasons (remember, they must be accurate reasons Davie, not just your opinion) why he, and the other unnamed players, have left this club?
I don't get what it is you're saying when you write, "I have only reportedly (do you mean reported?) what Derby fans tell me, so please don't tell me what my friends say is bollocks". Is the inference that Derby fans have an insight that no one else can understand? Therefore we aren't allowed to question their, and your, point of view? What complete nonsense Davie. That really is tosh of the highest order. Presumably, because of your response to criticism, you'll pull a rabbit out of your Derby loving hat that is of biblical proportions, the inference being that your buddies in Derby are part of Clough's extended family, so they know the guy on intimate terms which confers special intuitive powers on them.
No doubt Clough is fallible. I'd be surprised if he didn't have faults. But if that's the case, then surely the same applies to posters on this forum too?
I've lost count of the number of foot stamping posts I've read on this forum. They tend to have the scent of football's equivalent of bible bashing about them, so the content is loaded with "I know what I'm talking about", or "I'm more qualified than you to discuss the goings on at United, so don't question what I'm saying". The other quality they all share is that they're incredibly tiresome, employing the same half-dead rhetoric that has all the vision of a peanut.
Sorry Davie, no matter how many times you repeat the same message that you have a personal "deep throat" source that gives you the edge, it's still your opinion, just one that isn't very balanced.
