First off... proud as f*** after that tonight. Especially second half. Thought Clough got it wrong in the 1st half, but something seemed to change when they came out after half time. Special mention to young Reed. Thought he brought us some much needed quality, guile & endeavour in the middle. This boy looks the biz!

Now, after tonight's performance, do you think it warrants giving a go at 4-4-2? As soon as Mr Clough brought on Adams & Higdon, the whole emphasis seemed to change from containment & braking out of defense, to "'f*** it, let's have a go!"... and it worked!! We looked dangerous, we had presence in the attacking third and gave the centre halves and full backs something to think about. Ok it left us a little light at the back, but we're not going to face someone of the quality of Eriksson & Kane against f***ing Swindon or Coventry every week!

We've got less than half a season to go. We've got the beard back. Lets get that attacking potency back!!

Agree, if we don't go up this year we'll piss it next year so let's go for bust and make sure NO ONE wants to visit The Lane this season and certainly next season.

At worst we'll be flying going into the play offs and the teams mentality will be changed.

Let's become League Tarts.

I'd say yes, but we still played 4-5-1 when Higdon and Adams were on didn't we? It was Murphy who switched to the right, and Adams slotted in on the left.

I think 4-5-1 still has a lot of merit and can work. We just need to commit more players to the attack. Maybe Adams is the answer and should start today on the right with Murphy on the other side.

Murphy seemed to play a free role behind Higdon, drifting out to the right occasionally, but definitely not getting back alongside the rest of the midfielders. I would have described it as a 4-4-1-1, though Reed on the right tucked inside more, while Adams played as an orthodox left winger. Flynn was the one who gave us width down our right with his forward runs.
