Thought he wasn't really at his best tonight though did just enough to keep Murphy under wraps. Nice touch at the end when he applauded us singing his name as he went off. Then came back to applaud us again, seemed like he made sure he was last off so as not to take anything away from United's players. The guy clearly loves the Blades.

Chant of the night was aimed at him towards the end of the first hald "you're just a shit Kyle Naughton".

He's a Blade...I'm sure we'll see him back at BDTBL one day..

Thought Murphy had him on more than a couple of occasions. Reckon we'll be looking to attack both full backs next week as they were clearly their weakest positions.

Funny how I never saw Murphy get the better of him once, in an attacking sense - not one cross from Murph of any note all game and when he had 10 yards on him KW closed it rapidly - as we know he can. Defensively I though Murph lost Townsend a couple of times when he was on cover. I'm sure Bob's knee didn't help matters but Murph is one of our key players when we do well and last night I thought he was not at the races. Granted, tough opposition, but still thought he may have a mazy run or two in him.

JCR was very busy first half but the quality of the delivery could have been better - second half he seemed to run out of steam.

Still - manful performance all round and really proud of the lads. Terrific effort and discipline.

IF Scougs had caught that one just a tad sweeter?

Me and Kyle are going a day earlier to look round the museum with Brayford and O'Grady ...

Nice touch ;) - new job as an Escort, Swizzers?
However, Chris phoned to say that COG can't make it so just get one less scone in the cafe.
The Beard can only come if his phone is switched off and he doesn't use Twitter

Not a new job, just a sideline I've been doing for a while.

Leave COG to me....

Its scary how fast Walker is by the way! When he caught Murphy from our break it was like watching Usain Bolt. I can imagine not all Spurs players are looking forward to Wednesday nights game but he will be.

The reason i said we missed a trick in another thread is Pochetino will play Danny Rose in the second leg and he's a lot better player than Ben Davies. We didn't get the ball to Jam in the second half and this was a bad tactical decision from us,he tore Davies a new arsehole on a couple of occasions in the first half but we didn't use our strengths and their weaknesses nowhere near enough in the second half,we're still in it though.

It must come across a different game on TV ,I thought Murphy and Scougall were our weakest players ,Flynn ,Basham and Harris stood out for me ,and McNulty until his legs went.
I can't remember Murphy putting one decent ball in last night, our passing was really poor when in good positions.I think we can play miles better than that as i honestly thought we was way off our best.Reading peoples comments though i think i'm in a minority.

Murphy made that run from the kick off but after that I thought he was in Kyle's pocket. Mind you Bob Harris's knee might have had a bit to do with it.
