Not happy about that conclusion by Clough to be honest...

I called it a few weeks ago. Clough seems to hate him.

I wasn't there today but I mentioned last week that McNulty has had very little presence or influence when he has started in league 1 games, that's the truth of the matter and our manager's dilemma. In Cup games against teams who give him more space he has done well but not against hard defenders like McFadzean today, hard defenders well protected by midfield and by league 1 referees who give nothing for physical buffetings from behind.

Yeah shite isn't he? not like he's leading goal scorer or anything is it?

In Nigel we trust....

FFS!

McFadzean hard defender, and there was me thinking he was a United reject who was not good enough........................... my god how far we have fallen.

Whether it's right to call him out, Clough was bang on regards McNulty. He offered nothing sadly, and the reason was due to a lack of work rate, which we know is one of his strengths.

Higdon, offered more when he came on but is right up there with Fucking Curran in the fan popularity stakes with reaction he received. Should have done better with a late header though.

Which is probably why having had him on trial at Derby, he brought him to Sheffield United.
And he praised him last week for doing exactly what he wanted from him

It did sound from RS that McNults didn't get much service today, so seems harsh. But if he didn't do what he was supposed to do then perhaps deserves the criticism

Don't think he should be slagging him on the radio I really hate it when managers do that. That won't do the lad any good whatsoever.

Whether McNulty had a bad game or not to me is irrelevant. It's the fact that he only criticises the same player at every opportunity and chooses to ignore other players who may not have been at the top of their game

What about the contribution of goals from other areas of the pitch? It's been dire. The midfield should be weighing in with their share as well, but fk all is said. Baxter, Scougs, Doyle, Reed, Basham, have contributed what exactly in recent games in helping the team out to get that goal tally to look respectable?

If Murphy, JCR and McNulty don't hit the back of the net then we are f'ked. Who exactly should be held responsible for having one of the worst goal tallies in the league this season?

Heard the interview on radio Sheffield, those type of things need saying behind closed doors , picking on a player
in public is not on , in my book .

He was out injured for a long time and when he returned he was struggling to be the promising defender he was. He went to Alfreton and then to Crawley. He stayed in non-league for 5 years before he was good enough to be a league player. It is hard to assess whether a player who was out injured for a long time would eventually be good enough in a few years time. He has made a remarkable recovery and how many clubs would foresee that?

McNulty worked hard but it's difficult when the bal is coming to him in the air against Giants...service to him was poor today

Have a look at when he's scored his goals, including how many times he's scored when he's started league games. then think why Clough (in whom you trust) is reluctant to start him in league games on his own in a 4-5-1.

Robinson foresaw that last summer!

Higdon might be shit but no where near cunt level of that cunt.

That cunt is up there with Twaddle he's such a cunt, only out cunted by Palmer.

I think he fell out with the club when he decided to go to a friend's funeral, rather than turning up for training. I don't think we had decided whether to keep him or not when he chose to leave.

But not in 2007, Metal Blade is hinting that we should have kept him rather than release him to alfreton
I am certainly not saying we should have kept him far from it, just another average lower league clogger and his brother will go the same way.
