Sounds an expensive weekend Moby - Wouldn't we need him for a bit longer![]()
It would make the most sense too, and surely he hasn't devalued that much since we've had him? Although I don't know how much he cost eitherWould think that if we are swapping anybody they could be intrested in it would be higdon
knowing us we will have paid out a good amount for a unfit lump now for a player with genuine quality we offer 80k < (bbc news)It would make the most sense too, and surely he hasn't devalued that much since we've had him? Although I don't know how much he cost either

Yes that's what I mean. If this kid is worth £2m but we can get him for £1m now. Is that not better than waiting till 1st July to get him for free and risk losing him to someone else?
I'd rather get him now.
It rainsHave you ever stopped a weekend in Scotland?
Don't really understand it myself but it seems more common in Scotland. This article helps a bit.I was under the impression that only clubs from another country could sign a player on a pre-contract agreement six months in advance.
80k? And I convinced myself we could afford Doyle who's valued by his club at 2m
Sky says they want £250,000 so I'm guessing we are wanting to pay 80-100k and make the rest up in a player swap?

To be fair, we don't know how bad it really was beforehand. As someone on here said today, Weir's job was just to avoid falling into League 2 before the Prince deal went through which shows how bad things were. I now believe that this was indeed game-changing.£100k seems about our limit these days despite the big crowds, cup runs & player sales. It's pathetic.
Game changing investment.
Good things only come to those who wait. You have to finish reading the article to get to the best bit. There is an agent called - I kid you not - Ladi Salami. That rockets straight into the top five of my favourite real life names ever. So far, my favourites were two female American lawyers whose names I encountered in my job. One was called Zina Bash which wasn't two shabby. The other one worked best in writing, but surely even the Americans' proverbial love for middle names could not explain what exactly her parents were thinking of. Poor girl was listed on the website as Anna L. Chase...
Lady Salami's right up there though.![]()
I used to work with someone called Seema Butt. I would have liked to as well.Zina Bash Anna L. Chase...Lady Salami's right up there though.

Forget it then, game over. Now is the time the club have to decide how much we really want him as Celtic have approached GMS about signing a pre-contract agreement
To many are in for him.Why not? Or is it another silly dig?

I'd rather have £34M wrote off than sign crap like this.
Well lmao!
We didn't bid £80k, we actually bid less!
Confirmed on Jimbob's facebook
Commented further by saying "let's trust that management know what they are doing"
Or indeed, further up, where I said it earlier
There's plenty of fans who've never actually seen him play who say we should have started at £250k though, so he must be worth that, despite the fact statistically we've had better value out of Scotland multiple times in recent years.
No I don't want him to spend his budget, I want him to fanny about penny pinching just for him to go to Celtic.Ignoring the fact it's speculation and incorrect...
Clough will pay as little as he thinks he can get away with and never go in with the maximum offer. The bloke is out of contract before long, would you be happier with reports that he'd offered his full budget, just to show he's very serious and we could afford it? Regardless of how he sees this one fitting in his plans.
Our first and single offer to date is less than 80k.
I'd be very disappointed if we spent £2mil on Doyle.
You really have written thus guy off after seeing him play once on TV haven't you?
I'm sure SUFC and Celtic have seen a lot more of him than you have and for that reason are pursuing their interest
