Academy Players Update...

Can anyone tell me if these players are still with Sheffield United?

Jake Eyre
Jordan Hodder
Chris Salt
Josh Williams
Tyler Williams
Owen Heather
Mickael Partodikromo

I believe half of them have joined Sheffield FC, and the others either joining other clubs or being free agents, is that the case, or am i wrong?

Yep, remember reading somewhere he'd left. Sticks out because he was meant to be attracting quite a bit of interest when we got him, if memory serves.

Shame about Eyre, he got on the bench a few times after a purple patch beginning of last season.

Although thinking about it, I remember one or two coming on the forums to say they didn't think he was quite ready.

Josh used to come and help out with the Under 7s, so it would have been 2010-1

When they played Fleetwood in the youth cup, I read in a preview article that Jake Wright had been close to making the first team squad. I think he's normally a striker, scores a good header here:

There's obviously Dom Calvert-Lewin, Ioan Evans and Jake Eastwood who are the brightest prospects for me. They have a real chance. Kler Heh and Jake Wright both show flashes now and again so I'm hoping they kick on over the next 6 months.

As for the newer lads, I like the look of Shea Gordon even though I've not seen him play in his natural position yet.

It's not the strongest set we've had this year to be honest but hopefully a few of them prove me wrong.
