We've got a weekend off while Liverpool face Barcelona in the Champions League a week on Wednesday.

What would your game plan be on our trip up to Anfield?

Any predictions?

Same starting line up as Saturday and the same attitude we had for most of Saturday.
No one will expect us to get anything from the game so if we go in with a 'let's just play' attitude then I think we could give them a run for there money and a scare at least.
A draw would be excellent a win would be Justice from what happened in the first game.

Geary to score his first of the season. :D

It wont be the same side, Tonge is suspended after his 5th booking.

Cant see us getting anything out of it anyway tbh.

also think jagz will be in midfield agenst gerrard and morgz at back.
 
I hope not, jagielka will get destroyed by gerrard if he plays in midfield.

No point in playing a 4-5-1, we might aswell go and attempt to win the game.

Take a leaf out of readings book(hahahah get it) and go at teams without any fear.

Thats why they are so annoyingly damm good.

Why can't you just accept they have better players than we have that are capable of playing better football than we can?

Reading have better players who are playing very well.

Some teams are better than us.

I can admit it......it's OK if you do by the way.

If Crouch plays, Morgs is the man to use to kick the crap out of him. :D
 
will be a hard match, keep jags in midfield maybe give davis a start with lucky

think we will get a right tonking im thinking at least 3-1 we wil lgo for a draw and get punished,if we attack though think we can get something
 
Prediction for changes:
1. we play 4-5-1 with Hulse up front
2. Monty on Gerrard
3. Jags in midfield with Davis in to cover for Crouch

Possible:
4. CKR out (no defence) and Fathi in

Soon:
5. if Kilgallon fit, replaces Armstrong

6. If Tonge is out for a game, Fathi in and CKR stays
 
I think its a very good time to be playing the scousers, with all the cr4p about Bellamy & their bender in the Algarve. They might have their eyes off the ball, so to speak.

I don't think Crouch is the big threat to us, if we can cut the supply from Pennant, or whoever they play on the right.. Gerrard's surges are what we need to stop, & I'd like to see Jags holding in front of the centre backs.. Wish I'd got tix to this one! I fancy we might surprise a few and get something out of the game.

I agree that we are playing liverpool at a very good time, especially if you throw in the fact that they have the biggest game of their season so far against Barcelona before we play them.

In terms of the team, i think we will see Bromby replacing CKR to give us a kind of 5-4-1 / 4-4-2 with Geary switching between full back and right wing and Stead tucking in where needs be.

I see no need to bring Claude Davis in to combat crouch, i have faith in the current centre back pairing and they have given no reason to suggest they cannot cope with the likes of Peter Crouch.

I think we will lose if i'm honest, head ruling heart on this one, but i'm hopeful we can give a good account of ourselves and keep morale up for the run in.

I WONT accept it because last season when we played them we were the better side twice.

They have kept pretty much exactly the same squad as last season.

It is not down to the fact that thier players are miles better than ours , it is down to the attitude and coaching ability of thier manager is at a far higher standered to ours.

I dont mind warnock but i still dont think he gets the best out of many of the better players at the club, i dont think his attitude in terms of the team keeping possesion and playing at our own pace is as good as it should be.

I look at our side and see we are doing well, but we could be doing alot better if we had somebody like coppel in charge.

Buts thats just my opinion.
 

I have an inkling that Warnock MIGHT be tempted to attack Liverpool to get revenge for that extremely flukey draw they got when we were on the verge of winning on day 1.

Plus I think their team won't exactly be a "unit" after the recent brawling.

I actually agree with your point to a degree, i think that Coppell has a greater grasp of tactics then Warnock and he knows how to get a team playing good football whilst still winning games; but i think that Warnock levels the playing field in terms of motivation and passion.

At the end of the day, Reading have been outstanding and all credit to them but we are performing above my own expectations too so credit must go to Neil as well.

You cannot knock the job that Coppell has done with an average bunch of players, i still hate reading though.

I'd be happy attacking all the way and getting a beating, than a poor defensive approach where we still get nothing just a slightly better goal difference.

Liverpool won't expect us to go at them, if we can nick an early goal i think we are capable of shutting them out which we nearly did at t'lane

Have people stopped guessing team selections? :D

I reckon we'll go defensive again tomorrow (even though it hasn't really worked all season) and play 1 up front. Probably Geary and Kozluk on the right again a la Reading.
