loads round me comlaining about not playing 4-4-2

loads round me comlaining about not playing 4-4-2

Well if the fans that I heard are right we should have took all the players off the pitch, most shouldn't start again, Paddy was at fault for most things and Warnock should be sacked.

Don't you think that might be slightly over the top when playing a team that hadn't lost in 29 matches at home and only let in 3 goals this season.

I'm glad some of the ones at Anfield were not around in the dark days.

Who knows what they may have done.

Judging from what i heard of P+G, the blades fans in the away end and blades message boards across the Internet id say the majority of blades knew warnock got it completly wrong yesterday.

And as ive said, its the not the result as much that is bothering people, its the WAY we lost the game.

i dont think it would be over the top playing 4-4-2.

we have 2 attackers putting pressure on there defender. and liverpool play from the back forward. we had a better chance of keeping the ball away from the goal with our attackers chasing the ball down off the keeper and there defenders.

Warnock is usless at tactics away from home, he packs midfield with defenders and hopes they will stop another player, then when its not working gets up and shouts. Same at reading....portsmouth away....the list goes on.

You've just said it all - ended your own arguement there

erm, how exactly?

Do you expect me to ask every single blade that went yesterday or something?

From the amount of people I heard moaning and chanting for 4-4-2 it was fairly obvious what a hell of alot of them thought.

because you're arguing with silverfox - who was there, at the game - and heard the real stuff - and the evidence that you're using the hearsay off the radio that "my mate heard from his mate" stuff

i was there too Mrs J and i heard what sharpy has been comenting on. and also loads of idiots shouting at kenny blaming him.

So you decide who the idiots are???

Who's right then...the one's slagging Warnock or the one's slagging the players?

If a majority decide.....most didn't slag either.

Interesting.

you know... there not idiots are they... i mean... people shouting at kenny calling him everything under the sun because he didnt save gerrards shot... how can they be idiots? clearly not!

Did I say that?

you said "So you decide who the idiots are???"

so i just posted again so i didnt decided who the idiot are.

what are the people that shout at kenny blaming him for the goal? Heroes?
im pretty sure that if a pro keeper couldnt save it... neither could they so why blame him?

You are missing the point....

I don't agree with them either.....but you have decided he's ok but not Warnock or Kozluk etc......

Who should decide?

Them who sing 4-4-2?

Them who slag all the players off?

Him who attacked Paddy?

Why are you right and all those other fans wrong??

Who's right?? You the few that sung crap?

Or the majority?

Yeah one slight problem with that statement, I was also there.

Good thing having your cousins living in liverpool, quick access to the internet.

I've heard some contrasting opinions regarding his performance on Saturday, it is still early days but i have to admit i kind of hoped he would have an immidiate impact.

I would imagine i will be given the opportunity to assess him this weekend against Everton, hopefully we will see the best of him as his exposure to the premiership increases.

On another subject, are we really in the kind of position to pay around 2 million pounds for a player who doesn't look like making a contribution this term?

Hopefully Shelton will prove to be a good signing but i cannot think of any other club in our position whose most expensive january signing wouldn't be brought in to make an immidiate impact.

Change of topic - why is Fathi getting such a good rating when the Bean Report has him as playing crap?

It seems we have been linked to from an Egyptian Football forum... so it may be something to do with national bias :)

This gives me great problems as I might have to go to the extent of banning Egypt as a nation from the site to protect any future MOTM polls :)

Egypt, you have been warned.

All guest votes for Fathi have been removed and will continue to be removed... apologies to any genuine guests who may have voted for him - blame the Egyptians.

didnt go to the match, and didnt see the highlights either, was getting married so was slightly busy.

Didnt expect to win, but didnt expect to loose so badly. all i have seen were the MOTD2 highlights, when warnock was on. The first penalty clearly wasnt, and to make matters worse, when warnock was giving his account of the decision pea-COCK and the other twat were still adament it was.

gutted, and havent voted as i didnt see any of them play at all, cos i didnt see anything. although from what you guys have said they werent there anyway

Congratulations :)

On another note... bloody Egyptians are still at it.(see poll)

Three points from this thread.

1 - Of course formations are important.

2 - There is a massive difference in playing 4-4-2 when you're 2-0 down to playing 4-4-2 when it's 0-0.

3 - Playing 4-5-1 (and a very defensive 5 at that) invites pressure from the off, the ball spends more time in our box thus giving "World-Class" Gerrard more opportunity to throw himself on the floor and gain penalties. So yes, I think the line-up was partly to blame for the penalties.

Seriously, has anyone on this forum ever played football?

Perhaps all those managers that play 4-5-1 in the professional game have never played either?

Too simplistic.......if you have at least 2 midfielders playing crap, and not playing their role in a 4-4-2 or 4-5-1, what formation does this leave you with?

4-2-2 or 4-3-1?

Because that's what we ended up with at Liverpool.

Not quite what I was getting at SF. More that of people's opinions that formations don't matter or that it's impossible to comprehend that penalties could be anybody elses "fault" but the referee's or Steven Gerrard's.

Again, you say it like our midfield "decided" not to turn up. Not that they are unsettled week-in-week-out or have team-mates playing out of position or having their options halved with us playing only 1 up front.

But surely, as you have said in the past, it's a forum of opinions.

I think gerrard played for them......running into Kozzy and falling when he felt Monty's arm. Even now I don't fall over if someone grabs my arm.

That's my opinion.

On the formations.....i'm pointing out that when players don't play well....what difference does it make.

You can argue why players don't play well till the cows come home and it will still only be an opinion.

Asking whether people have played the game is slightly naughty.

Perhaps we need an entrance exam???

I'm sure you didn't mean it that way but some people may take it that way.

:)
