First ever player to score for United in 3 separate spells. Other 3 spell.players (Deane, Sharp and Harley) only scored in 2.

Has Wilder finally woke up! Diaz is not a winger and he really put a shift in last night.First ever player to score for United in 3 separate spells. Other 3 spell.players (Deane, Sharp and Harley) only scored in 2.
This is why I feel for Choudhary.I usually slag BBD off but its not him its wilder playing him out of position, thought he did well last night, praise where praise is due
Playing BBD as anything other than a centre forward is mental.
He always looked a goal threat for Blackburn playing there and scored 7 goals in a loan spell in the horrendous 2023/24 PL season.
When he plays as a winger he looks like he’s got his boots on the wrong feet. Reminded me of watching Blackwell playing Richard Cresswel, proven Championship goalscorer and target man, as a left winger.
Play BBD as a centre forward and he’ll score 10 goals minimum
Since modern football science seems to always start with one player up top, everyone else, save the keeper, needs a side. He's hopefully managed to escape the shackles of the wide left position...the graveyard for many a player in modern footie
bbd upfront with bamford in behind linking play up could be a very interesting set up for me chong is our weak link imo start at preston like we finished against wrexham with seriki if fit in front of choudray down the rightBBD with Ayew behind was a great combination last night. Hopefully we can stick to this formula.
And it gets Donovan on the pitch.
Agreed. Up top.
Means Oné comes in and plays across the 3 behind the striker, for me. Then a winger needed on loan in Jan.
I’d wondered that, but Bamford is our main goal threat, and can score with his eyes shut, so seems awkward holding him behind.bbd upfront with bamford in behind linking play up could be a very interesting set up for me chong is our weak link imo start at preston like we finished against wrexham with seriki if fit in front of choudray down the right
Who do you then remove from the squad ?Agreed. Up top.

It’s the same with Cannon and we should be playing our players in their preferred positions. Yes BBD “can do a a job” at LM/RM in the way he is a name on the team sheet. He’s wank LM/RM
Either needs to play as a wide forward in a narrow 433 or stret down middle
Anywhere but stood on the half way line
It would sad for Choudhury if he continues to be castigated for his efforts at right back, and never gets a chance to play in his preferred midfield enforcer role. This is why I feel for Choudhary.
He might get a chance to play there at PNE if Philips doesn't recover from the ankle injury he got on Friday. It would sad for Choudhury if he continues to be castigated for his efforts at right back, and never gets a chance to play in his preferred midfield enforcer role.
Good call.Would like to see Diaz and Bamford together up front with Seriki and Donovan out wide. Would be interesting to see Seriki and Choudary together too might get more than the sum of the parts and gives flexibility down the right. Still not convinced about Chong but credit to him he always seems to put a shift in.
I think Phillips either way won’t be risked for another game, even if he is fully fit, he might come off the bench if needed. Agreed Hamza at DMHe might get a chance to play there at PNE if Philips doesn't recover from the ankle injury he got on Friday.
if we continue just to have 2 midfielders in our formation we need one of the front 2 to drop deeper like ayew did friday just think bamford is ideal for that role he will still get goals just need to start on the front foot every game like friday night having said that we wont play many teams worse than wrexham they were awfulI’d wondered that, but Bamford is our main goal threat, and can score with his eyes shut, so seems awkward holding him behind.
One? I take it you mean after hes recovered from his recurrent hammy injury after Christmas?Agreed. Up top.
