Wilders post match interview

The conversation is nowhere near as black and white as it used to be. He could have left at the end of the season where he took over from Hecky and would have gone down as a true Sheffield United great.

Now, if he ever does actually leave, he’ll be equally remembered for managed decline and god awful football. Not a patch on Basset, on the same level as Warnock or Hecky for me.
Bassett & Harris kept us in the top flight for a decent run of seasons on very limited budgets.
I was only a teenager under Harris , and at a time when his taciturn nature suited the lack of media attention.
My youth and his lack of public presence means I've less idea of the man than I do of Bassett.
But for me , no one comes close to Harry.
He arrived at our spineless club and the sheer strength of his personality gave it a real backbone for years.
Selling Deane did for him , as the sale of Currie did for Harris , but during Harry's tenure I've never felt prouder or closer to the club whilst it punched above its weight with an incredible team spirit.
Wilder's walkout in '21 and subsequent performances & attitude have my previously high esteem in tatters.

The amount of times I’ve heard this about our squad takes the absolute piss.

I also heard from someone at the club that Selles wouldn’t stand for it a lot of them got the right kite on about it.
Yep the players hated the changes Selles tried to implement with diet and conditioning.

Peck even met Wilder for a fucking pint at Handsworth FC, while Selles was still here.

Whilever this 'culture' carries on, we'll never compete with the more professional squads.

Footballers get paid obscene amounts.
Why they can't abstain from shite food and alcohol is beyond me.

Sirrel was the manager, not Harris when we sold TC

No one has claimed Peck should have been chosen over KP. That’s a daft statement to make with no relevance. The reason many prefer him to Blaster is a) OA is so up and down in performances, Bristol without doubt the best of a poor bunch (which includes Saturday) and b) Sydie is an all round better player.
Im glad the 'many' aren't the manager.
