He he’s still here next season a lot of fans won’t be

Unfortunately, the adverse is true too. A quick look on X for "wilder" reveals... after you've been distracted by some grot for 5 minutes... that he's still got plenty of supporters who blame the players and not the man.

Realistically Derby although right place right time for their goal got lucky as to how it bounced out. Creatively we just don’t have enough, too many times it pops outside the box for a long range chancer or we don’t even have anyone in the box. We don’t have a likes of a Billy who can pop up at the right time, we have players within the squad that can play a ball in but I don’t know if we know how we are going to play it or be able to pick out players. We should have enough to win that especially down to 10 men
The goal was fortunate but prior to that Cooper had already had to make a couple of big saves. The game was turning and once again we didn’t react, we just let games happen to us.

The ‘style’ of football in that first half wouldn’t be accepted at Hallam or Worksop town but is supposed to be good enough for us because there’s no other way to play apparently. He was going mad at Seriki when he dared to run at his man.

The team selection was fine ... Really!!??
Yes, we played well in the previous game so no reason to make big changes. McGuiness was unavailable so with Seriki not ready to start, Choudhury back in with Tanganga at centre back was fine. Bamford in for Ayew is an obvious improvement. So yes, absolutely nothing wrong with that team selection if everyone played to the same level as the game before.

However, the way they lined up and performed was atrocious, and if we're unchanged for the next game he's insane. Cooper played well, Phillips was mostly good, everyone else who started was so-so or poor.

I think people are getting a bit carried away with how well we actually played in the previous 3 games.

Until the first goal against Lincoln we were just as atrocious as today. We scored a couple of well worked goals then against the worst squad in the division that basically chucked the towel in once we scored.

We started the better side against Portsmouth but had started fading after about 25 mins. Sky flashed the match stats up just before they scored and by that point they had already started to get on top of us and were ahead in possession and shots on goal. People can then say ‘oh they scored a worldie’ but really we passed the ball to him and then didn’t bother closing him down. Most professional footballers can hit the target if there’s zero pressure on them at all.

Bristol City was a bit better, nice goal and we deserved the win but it wasn’t pretty and within 15 mins it had descended into a pretty scrappy stop start affair against an out of form team who’d lost 4 of their recent home games.

Any improvement after the international break was marginal at best and it helped playing 2 of the worst squads in the division and a really out of form Bristol City side.

Today was wank, utterly wank masked over by an idiotic red card on their part. How Chong and BBD continually get picked over Donnovan is beyond me. Cannon still offers very little. Choudhury is atrocious at right back and is brought straight back in. The team selection was poor. The tactics worse.

I'm in the pub so haven't heard any post match interviews.

Was Wilder asked about his thumbs up to the crowd at half time. I assumed it was sarcasm in reactiin to the booing rather than agreement.

I'm not a booer personally but surely he didn't expect anything different after that 49 minutes.

Utterly boring and clueless for at least 2/3's of the game.

Changes made after the sending off should have been made at half time.

Slow in thought and action until Donovan came on.

BBD is fucking wank.
Brereton is finished at this level

Don't know why, but he is, and it's painfully obvious

Stopped reading at Choudhury coming back in at right back was fine. Never been a right back but he needs to keep his signings happy. Seriki should have started and then brought off if he tired rather than putting a slow central midfielder in a position hes been roasted at every time hes played there this season.

so sad to see the 2026 version of wilder outdated tactics when will he learn bur 2 in midfield just doesnt work when other teams have 3 in there and far too cautious derby were there for the taking today if he had picked the right team and adopted the right tactics im afraid wilder was finished at this level when he failed at boro and watford problem weve got is that our owners dont give a shit and bettis is in wilders pocket he will keep us up but i think we should act now and if not now we have to replace him for the start of next season hundreds of empty seats today tell their own story utb ftp ⚔️⚔️⚔️

I took it mean that he agreed with the crowd, as in “yes, you’re correct, that was rubbish”.

No we didht play well in the previous three Lincoln was garbage until the goal we scored Pompy was awful and Bristol who I believe haven’t scored at home in their previous 4/5 home games was just acceptable
Today was bloody turgid Wilder ball
I didn’t want Diaz, Choudray near the club again I didn’t want him to buy Csnnon
when a quality centre half was the priority

And I didht want his son in law starting today and if he did it should have been in a three

And his in game tactics Ffs
Not once did he get Diaz n Chong to swap wings it was crying out for it
But the biggest thing is the omission of Donovan for Diaz

The blokes first stint will be remembered with love. Respect and affection
The last two stints have been terrible and that includes the 90 point debacle

Had enough of him

People are entitled to their views of course but everyone in the ground today knew the team was wrong…. Everyone could see you needed some pace and skill to go past a man (BBD is not that). …. Ok got it wrong first half…… no changes at half time….. he has to go because his is stubborn and becoming so arrogantly obnoxious he is annoying. It’s like nobody can question him because if you do you don’t play again. That also says his coaches are not up to it. Genuinely as bad a coaching / tactical lesson as you could ever see. Cannon ? BBD, etc etc. how people defend him I don’t know but it must be the lads in the curry house and pubs he seems to like.

I’m not reading all that… (enter some nonsense comment about 92 points here)

That was Wilders tactics for 70/75 minutes absolutely awful the only thing that changed was the sending off and bringing Seriki and Donovan on.

We should have won the game in end.

His interview today was the same as ever.

We got into situations
We talked about situations
Situations developed
How could I drop BBD or Chong when they had played important parts in our last 3 games?????? What!!
2nd half We were getting on top before the sending off. What

Etc. Etc

The only positive from today is that we didn't lose.

Everything else was pathetic.

How much longer are we going to put up with this shite?
Totally agree it is painfully obvious now, the sad reality is he has damaged his legacy with even some of the most ardent of Wilder fans.

His stubborn refusal to change has cost us twice before so I fail to see why he was brought back.

I would genuinely rather see us under a young attack minded Manager like Jack Wilshere His football philosophy prioritizes getting the ball forward quickly to dynamic players, attacking weak spaces, and building diverse attacking options.

Donovan Seriki and One would thrive under Wilshere our fans want to see us playing on the front foot having a go that is when we are at our best.

Our fans can take losing if we have a go vut what I am seeing from Wilder again is simply not good enough.

We have no money to spend on players there may be even another round of selling any player with transfer value I can’t see the point of buying players to fit into this team as it’d be a waste, most are shocking and you can’t build with them it’s Chris Wilders team as it stands but ‘I’ believe he’ll do enough to keep us up for this season as for next season well that’s a different story.

I can't even listen to his interviews anymore they are painful and absolute drivel you already know what is going to be said.
