hope we’re not walking around with zimmer frames after 60 mins.

Could be interesting. I have a feeling we’ll win, but it’s about the performance. We look fucking devoid at the moment, and Wilder is apathetic to it all.

as i saying if we go 1-0 down. the lane is going to go toxic. in ways ive not seen since southend at home in 2016.

for me this has all the hallmarks of the 2017 sheffield derby & unfortunately we are the 🐷. we are at home, the higher profile team, higher profile players & "better" on paper. & lincoln are the underdogs. have nothing to lose & will up there game for 1 of their cup finals

Couple of quid on Ogbene to score or assist at near 2/1. Mentioned in another thread that I watched their game in the Mickey Mouse away to Bournemouth, and while not knowing how strong a Lincoln line up it was on the night, he was their stand out player. Seems inevitable

They've won their last 3 away matches and we've lost our last 2 at home, let's hope the break has broken their run

More toxic than under Selles? More toxic than our two PL relegation seasons?

It's looking like this season will be a hard slog. If that's the case the team needs the support of the fans.

If we're staring relegation in the face in March I could understand fan discontent but it's the middle of October and we're not in the relegation zone. I doubt calling for Wilder and the board to be sacked will help us on the field, and it isn't going to happen anyway.

Just woke up to see this out of the window

Is it for George or is it a sign we're going to Bungle today

The PL relegations weren’t toxic. There wasn’t even a crowd for virtually all of the first one. People knew that we weren’t in a position to compete through shit transfer business (first one) and underinvestment in the team (2nd one) and the mood was one of resignation rather than anger. And Selles wasn’t here long enough for it to turn toxic.

Generally, fans will respond to what they are seeing on the pitch in the context of their view of what’s happened to cause what they are seeing. Right now the fans are very divided on that and it’s beginning to remind me of the last days of Bassett. So yes, it has the potential to get nasty.

Taking the grand daughter to her first game today hopefully it will be the same as when i took her dad for the first time, so im predicting a 2-0 win but with me having to leave just after half time after spending a fortune on food / drink / sweets and stuff from the club shop
I hope she enjoys it and gets the bug. Have you explained to her about the special football words that mustn’t be repeated at home?

I agree with this. The difference is there wasnt a group of the fans gloating about it and desperate for him to fail.

I would love to have seen this place is Bassett's last days. They'd have spitting their poison at him just like with Wilder now.

Although there were factions on the kop and amongst the travelling support actively wanting us to lose games to speed up Bassett’s departure. That’s what caused the fist fights. It wasn’t so different to today, just without social media giving the extremes on both sides more of a voice.

i feel the supporters are a ticking bomb. & i think selles was more shock. really we only had 2 home games Opening day v Bristol City & Millwall. so we never saw wouldve happened v charlton

1st PL relegation season was pandemic so no crowd, 2nd was more apathy. & beaten before we started

They were pretty horrible times

The idea that people want Wilder to fail is absolute bollocks.

If it were true then these people would have been criticising him in the past even when we were successful.

There's loads of people who have turned against him and don't want him to be our manager anymore but nobody wants him to fail.

It makes no sense.
