I know Jimmy's not everybody's cup of tea, but I find his channel generally excellent. For content and frequency is about the best blades related channel out there currently.

I know Jimmy's not everybody's cup of tea, but I find his channel generally excellent. For content and frequency is about the best blades related channel out there currently.

I don’t mind the channel at all, but the rumour side of things is a delicate one. Most of the time his information isn’t particularly accurate, so he probably needs to rethink how he handles that part.

That said, channels like this are almost essential now. In a strange way they actually help build a club’s profile. More people tune into watchalongs with the likes of Mark Goldbridge than some clubs get through the turnstiles. His streams pull in 40–50k viewers.

I know someone at director level, don’t see them often…maybe 2 times a year.

But they’ve told me some right stories about players signing “done deal”, 99% certain.
Then on the day they are about to sign they receive a better offer from another club and go there instead.
Transfer business in the final week is absolute madness…hence you need target A, back up target B and even further backup target C.
But every club does this….so weird stuff can happen days before the deadline or even on deadline day.

So was this made up? No…it was real….that player had agreed to come.
Another common situation is deals are agreed “done deal” but clubs say they are hoping to buy player X….then when that happens they’ll allow our deal to go through. Basically we’re in chain….stuff can go wrong….so “done deals” are often 80 to 90% certain…best to never take them as fact.

You can’t win on transfer rumours. Probably for every one deal that comes off there were a other 4 or 5 we were in for that didn't take place.

Fact is people want to know things before they happen. But then when it doesn’t go to plan, they moan.
