Sydie Peck, he cares, he's a proper footballer and is fucking wasted on us.
It wasn't more than one nil, we couldn't have complained if they'd been out of sight before we started running around in the last 20 minutes.

Rothwell, Jairo, Norrington Davis etc., for a club with no money why are we wasting what little we have on paying a wage to these putrid cunts?

The future, do we have one? Who knows because without a clear out and investment in the team we're Fleetwood Town. That's our level currently and we may have a couple of games where we scrape a result but don't kid yourself that this isn't a ragbag outfield only heading one way.

As an aside, any team that starts with Rothwell and Riedewald in the middle will get outrun and outworked. We did...and we did. What the fuck is Wilder thinking sometimes?

I don't want to see Jairo and Rothwell start in midfield again. Neither are good enough. Jairo has regressed, Rothwell was already past it when we signed him. Norrington Davies tries hard but he isn't good enough at this level. There are a core of good players but problems all over the pitch. And that comes down to leadership, tactics, management and selection. It needs to be sorted quickly because the writing is on the wall in a bad way. If heads drop we could go on a run of defeats. Stoke away suddenly looks difficult to say the least. We need leaders.

Our attack is lazy & slow. We also have zero link between midfield & attackers.

What is the plan? We boot it up for it to come back. Where's the pattern of play to link midfield and attackers? Where's the movement off tbe ball and passing up the pitch?

Our midfield is 20 yards away from our attackers when we have the ball with no runners in the middle to get bodies forward. So its pass backwards and back it long again when closed. If we do get ball its a cross into box to... no one as no one is in there.

Pros: Despite being the worst run club in the football league (exception Leicester?) , that builds it's squad in late July/August and never makes a permanent signing, we are sat on nine points. I expected us to be sat rock bottom at this stage. Our players are getting up to speed and we've (largely) avoided injuries over playing them. We've also got some of our better players to come back from injury. Unfortunately Arblaster (should've been hooked earlier), Peck and BBD played tonight when they should've had their feet up; this due to the shower who did play, who didn't do nearly enough.

I've got a bit of optimism that Arblaster (improving), Phillips, BBD, One, Seriki, Burrows etc will improve us . Also liked Baptiste from the bits I've seen.

Think we're investment ready next season if the owners have the £ and the appetite.

Cons: We'll be in an even worse position next year when the usual churn happens and we need even more players going into the season. It isn't realistic volume wise and it has already had me recalibrating expectations over a year before that season starts. So depressing.

Campbell: absolutely miles off. What happened? Personal issues?

Midfield looks miles off it when Peck and/or Phillips aren't in it. Jairo deserves a bit of time based on last season but he's been honking so far.

Disappointed we haven't been able to offload some more of the dross.

Jairo is the most confusing one for me this season. He was solid if unspectacular last year. Did his job, helped us see games out - team looked safer when he played.
This year he's looked like someone's old man making up the numbers.
He has only just turned 30 years old - he should be in his absolute prime - the same for Rothwell who despite what we see, is only 31.

Naively reappointed the “old school” manager who said he’d learned and would change
Unbelievably extended Wilders contract making him near impossible to move and the result was obvious last night. He’s more old school than ever (a potential transfer target commented Wilder was old school then turned us down). That’s not a dig at Wilder, it worked 10years ago but non of his skills work today.

What will the owners do next? It appears from their comments to the Fan Forum that this is our business as usual model.
