And to continue your point, the division/game is getting increasingly athletic/physical and in 5 of the last 6 transfer windows we've failed to address that.

Add to the slow/undersized/no physicality midfield a front line of a 30somehting who runs like he's running for a bus carrying a set of gold clubs, another who must eat a three course roast dinner at half time and a third who looks like a rabbit in the headlights any time he gets on the pitch...

Depends what your definition of crap is really. I never got him, think he's slow of thought and deed, is constantly looking sideways, offers no protection to the back four and today showed that he's added lazy and knackered after 15 minutes to his repertoire because he was fucking diabolical.

Any elite level sporting programme I've been a part of has minimum levels of athletic performance. Drop below it and you're off.

Not sure what his thinking was yesterday at 3-1 when he shifted to a 532 though, and defended a 3-1 loss. We sat deep didnt press and didnt move from that rigid 5 at the back. We all know from experience if we go for that formation we have to have brave wingback pushed high as wingers not fullbacks sat deep as yesterday.

I've got Wilder fatigue personally.

Boring football by largely boring players, no structure, a chronic lack of pace, out muscled too often, predictable boring recruitment, unbalanced squad, despite prolonged fitness issues continuing to sign players with fitness issues.

Kitching, Doherty, Choudhury, Riedewald, Philips, Donovan, BBD.

And we're reliant on a 19 year old kid showing up every week.

Thing is we are in catch 22, if he was anyone else wed be wanting his head on a plate due to the football played and previously played in the other season we got 90 points (he gets a decent pass due to us winning games).

But who do we replace with that would be able to be successful with this group of players and the fact the co owner come out and said they didn't realise how deep his tentacles run within the club. It shouldnt have been allowed to happen regardless who he was. The club needs to be separated from the mansger woth structure on plave to be able to replace and it not go tit's up beacuse everything was run by 1 man... bettis also has to be held accountable for this to be allowed to happen. Its his job to make sure departments in the club have relevant people in charge.

It's ridiculous that everyone can see this except Wilder. He's so unbelievably stubborn and it will end up in a relegation fight because he always knows better.

The fitness issues are all part of the lack of tactics. When you have a team with no tactics, system or instructions they will inevitably struggle to get the ball and spend 90 minutes chasing it while the opposition pass it around with actual conviction. Only Bolton have covered more distance in a game against us this season which suggests we're doing a lot of running about without actually doing anything.

Old players, no athletes, no tactics, no discipline, no fitness = big problems.

I think you’re struggling to understand what a decades long commitment to a team means to some of us. Here’s a clue. We can and do still go to matches but as paying customers we have every right to comment on what we’re watching. I've absolutely no problem with you or anyone else wanting to be entertained. The quality on show at the moment is poor, no doubt. Your posting history shows you weren't entertained last season. Knowing that the owners were skint and players would be sold to cover parachute payments did you believe the quality and entertainment would be better this season? We all want the best for this club but plenty of ST holders around us are clearly voting with their feet. If you're that fed up with what's on offer find something else to do like they have. I've no axe to grind here but the idea that having a season ticket means you're somehow duty bound to attend if you're so disillusioned is nonsense.

Unfortunately, Arblaster seems to have fallen foul of the common post-injury malaise and is struggling to re-capture the form that made him seem such a promising prospect. Personally, I'd put him out on loan (League 1 or 2) and see if he can pull through this.
