On the back of the 'Kyle Walker won't be signing now' comments, I researched if we could sign him, or anyone else in the right circumstances, and apparently we can, ANY time during the season!
Team A decides they want rid of a player to save on wages as he doesn't fit their system any more.
Team B wants the player and are willing to offer a contract.
Team A and the player agree to pay him say £500,000 of a £2,000,000 contract, or even mutually agree to part company, and the player can sign for team B with everything pre-negotiated and in place.
Every day's a school day...well, for me at least!

Didn't they have the 'deal sheet' in on time?
I read that the delay until the 3rd was because of the extra work required due to the fact he was registered with the Welsh FA?
