Maybe it was the right thing to replace Wilder…..but honestly the consequences of the Selles appointment and subsequent transfer window are going to hurt us for many years I fear. Er not quite mate. Granted it was usually because of one year remaining on the contract but we sold Ndiaye and Berge on the eve of the season which was the equivalent of doing two false starts deliberately to get yourself disqualified on a 100m race in the Olympics!

O’Hare never really done much for me. I usually love that type of player but he frustrates more than he excites me. Can’t fault his work rate though. And certainly can’t get rid of him without a replacement lined up.

He’s done well for us but not been spectacular and normally I wouldn’t have a huge issue in selling a player like O’Hare. But it shows how low we’ve sunk when he’s by far our most creative player and I dread to think how bad this season will be without him.

Agreed. 3-5-2 worked when we had Duffy to link with the forwards. We are selling ‘Duffy’ in COH and replacing him with nothing

Worst thing that happened to wilder was when we played well without an attacking midfield in the prem and used lundstram in that role. Wilder will have lost his mind because if thinks we can replicate that with a back 5 that couldn’t lace the boots of George, enda bash or JOC.

That system won’t work with the current squad as constructed. There’s no box to box player like fleck. The centrebacks can’t overlap etc etc .
